activities of the Year The B¢llanaleck Community Group continued to deliver actions which are positively benefitting our local area and wmmunity. key activities over the Year have included the following: l ) Bellanaleck Community Garden - managing the allotments and maintaining the wildfiower meadow, native apple tree orchard, native tree copse and bird and bat boxes; 2) making Tepresentations to or Considering the following matters coming within the purview of the statutory bodies stated: a) Fernwiagh & Omagh District Council dog fouling, Community Garden grasscutting and car park fencing repairs, townland signs repainting, car parking on section of Ihe Loughshore Path and representations regarding planning applications L12007113391F (79 unites on land bordering Waterhen Lane) and LA1012022112881F (82 dwellings on land bordering Waterhen Lane). b) Department of Infrastructure - Waterh¢n Lane (extension of footpath) and surface water on A509 verge. and c) Police Service of Northern Ireland - sponsorship of pernLanent speed indicators and Meeting with Community Police Offic¢r (discussed action to prevent anti-social behaviour and dnig use: and lighting of Multi Unit Games Area). 3) organizing watering of hanging baskets provided by Fennanagh & Omagh District Council. 4) review of the Group's email distribution list in accordance wAth the G¢n¢ral Data Protection Regulations, and S) amendment of the Constitution to reduce the annual number of regular Committee meetings from six to three. The Bellanaleck Community Group Trustees hav¢ considered the ChaTity Commission for Northern Ireland's genernl guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Group's objectives and plans for future activities to ensure these achieve the Group's purposes and provide a benefit to beneficiaries. Financial Review The Bellanaleck Community Group is non-profit making. The totsl receipts for the Year were £1,811 and the total payments £508, giving a net credit of £1,303. The Trustees continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustainthle manner. RerveS Polic The Bellanaleck Community Group have a Reserves Policy which requires that reserves are built or maintsined at a level which ensures that the organisation's core activities could continue during a riod of unforeseen difficulty. and that the organisation's known liabilities would be paid should the organisation cease to trade. Future Plans The Bellanaleck Community Group plan to focus on maintsining the high standards of service to our beneficiaries.
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES For the ear eDded 31, March 2024 The Trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and ot enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with appropriate regulations. The are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking T¢asonable steps for the prev¢ntion and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
