Oblectlves and actlvltles Oxford Unlted Stars Football Club are a communlty football club who has provided a footballlng servlce to the people of Derry for over 60 years. As a cltywide club the work our club now does In many communitles throughout Derry goes far beyoncl sport 25 we provlde a posltlve alternatlve to antl.5oclal behavlour through physlcal activitie5 Includlng sport and gym based fitnes5 classes in many of the communltles wlthin Derry. We currently cater for over 300 members city wlde throughout Derry. Our club Is fully Inclusive af all rellglons, ethnlc mlnorltles and abilitie5, Through our work we ensure that e?ch memberfs clrcumstance5, sexuallty and religiou5 bellefs are respected. We have contlnuously educated our clubs players to operate with an incluslve, open mind, The maln benef5ts of the organisatlon Include improved educatlonal outcomes, increèsed cultural knowledge, Increase in soclal ski115, Improvement In emotional health and well-belng and Increased splrltual development In the Ilves of chlldren* youn8 people and adults across the City of Derry. New formed frlendsh5ps and bonds is another beneflt that will last for a long tlme to come. These benefits are demonstrated through regular monltorlng and evaluatlon from for each of our funding bodles. Achievement5 and Performance The programmes running In the football club are weekly tralnlng pra¢tlce for all age groups, and weekend matche5 between local and natlonal football club5. Risk Management The members have assessed the major risks to whlch the organisation is exposed, In particular those related to the operations and finances of the association, and are satlsfled that systems are In place to mltl8ate the exposure to the major risks. Flnancial revlew The financlal performance Is summarlsed In the enclosed accounts. Members Responslbllltles In Relatlon To The Financlal Statement5 The members are responsible for preparing the annual report and the f inancial statements In accordance wlth applicable law and Unlted Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practlce. The law appllcable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the members to prepare the flnanclal statements that give a true and fair vlew of the state of affalrs of the charlty at the end of the financlal year and of its surplus or deficit for the financial year. In doing so the member5 are requlred to.. select suitable accounting pollcies and apply them conslstently; observe methods and princlples In the Charltles SORP; make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; prepare the *lnancial statements on the golng concern basis unless It Is inappropriate to presume that the charlty wlll continue In business. The members are responsible for maintaining proper accountlng records whlch dlsclose wlth reasonable accuracy at any tlme the financlal position of the charity and enables them to ensure that the flnanclal statements comply with the necessary leglslation. The members are also responsible for safeguardlng the assets of the charlty and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularltles.
