Objectives and a¢tlvltles
Oxford United Stars Football Club are a community football club who has provlded a footballlng
servlce to the people of Derry for over 60 years.
A5 a citywide club the work our club now does In many communities throughout Derry goes far beyond sport
as we provide a posltlve alternatlve to antl-soclal behaviour through physlcal actlvltles Includlng sport and
gym based fitness classes In many of the communltles within Derry. We currently cater for over 300
members clty wlde throughout Derry. Our club Is fully Incluslve of all rellglons, ethnlc mlnority and abllltles.
Through our work to ensure that each memberfs clrcumstances, sexuality and rell8lous bellefs are respected
We have contlnuously educated our clubs players to operate wlth an Incluslve, open mind.
The main beneflt of the organslatlon Include improved educatlonal outcome5, Increased cultural knowledge,
increase In soclal skllls, Improvement In emotlonal health and well-bein8 and Increased splrltual development
in the Ilves of chlldren, young people and adults across the clty of Derry. New formed frlendshlps and bonds
Is another benefit that will last for a long tlme to come. These beneflts are demonstrated throu8h regular
monitoring and evaluatlon from for each of our fundlng bodles.

Achievements and Performance
The programmes running in the football club are weekly tralning practice for all a8e Broups,
and weekend matches between local and natlonal football clubs.
Rlsk Management
The members have assessed the major risks to whlch the organlsation 15 exposed, in
particular those related to the operations and flnances of the association, and are Satisfied
that systems are in place to mitigate the exposure to the major rlsks.

Members Responslbllities In Relation To The Flnanclal Statements
The members are responslble for preparing the annual report and the financial statements In
accordance wlth appllcable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Acounting Practlce.
The law applicable to charltles in Northern Ireland requlres the members to prepare the
financial statements that sive a true and falr vlew of the state of affairs of the charlty at the
end of the flnanclal year and of its surplus or deflclt for the flnancial year. In doing so the
members are required to:
select suitable accountlng policies and apply them conslstently;
obsenie methods and principles In the Charitles SORP.
make judgements and estlmates that are reasonable and prudent;
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is
inapproprlate to presume that the charity will contlnue In buslness.
The members are responsible for maintalnlng proper accountlng record5 which disclose
with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial posltion of the charlty and enable5 them
to ensure that the financlal statements comply with the necessary leglslatlon.The members
are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charlty and hence for takin8
reasonable steps for the preventlon and detectlon of fraud and other irregularitie5.
