Objectlves and Stratsgy Mlsslon Statement The Enda Dolan Foundation has been set up lo lebrate and remember the life of Enda Dolan and lo have a lasting legacy. Objectives The purpose of the charity is lo support the advancement of citizenship and community development and the advancement of education through exclusively charitable means, and in particular.- The delivery of guit8r workshops bringing young people from all communities together lo enhance their playing skills and lo share experiences- To organise and facilitate gel running programmes for people of all ages, abilities and background to assist in improved health and we114)eing', The provision of a scholarship for first year students at aueens University, Belfast lo study in the profession of architecture, And the facilitation of any other exclusively charitable activity that the Trijslees deem appropriate. structure. Revlew of Activities, Achievements and Perfom)ance This year's activities have returned to greater levels previous to the global pandemic, throughout the various activities and events that went ahead we welcomed many new participants and volunteers. The annual Red Balloon Guitar Workshop did not take place during the year. This year s Bursary al Queens University Belfast for the best first year Archite¢lure student was awarded in September and continues to be a sought after accolade. The Foundation has continued lo campaign and comment on the sentences handed out in relation to Dgalh by Dangerous Driving and has met with various officials from the Department of Justice. Financial Revlew The results for the financial year are set out on page 7 and additional notes are provided showing income and expenditure in greater detail. See the annual report on income and expenditure. Finances and fundralslng continue to be reviewed regularfy. Results and Dlvidends At the end of the financial year the charity h85 assets of £108.805 {2022 £103,252) and liabilities of £0.00 (2022 £0.00). The net assets of the charity have increased by £5,553.

The direct benefits flowing from the purposes of the Enda Dolan Foundation are as follows.. -Regarding the runninglfilness programmes, the benefits are for the parti¢ipanls who become filler, healthier and helps their general mental wellbeing. -In relation lo the musiclguitar workshop the benefits are for the young people who can meet up with other Ilke minded people making new friend and enhancing their playing skills. Regarding the provision of a scholarship for entry into Queen's Unlversily. Belfast. it Is enabllng a young person lo free entry and study in the profession of architecture. The benefits in our local aiea with regards runninglfilness programme can be can be seen with the large numbers of people who have tskeTr up running as a hobby and attend local running events such as the annual "Run for Enda" The demand for this service and the numbers attending continues lo rise and therefore having a positive impact on the local community and individuals improving their health and well-being. The benefits flowng from the musiclguitar workshop is evident with the increase in the number of young people attending the workshop. Atso (he charity is seeing participants from previous years coming back lo volunteer and help out in the delivery of the rnusiclguitsr workshop. The benefits flowing from the provision of a scholarship is that a student will gain a scholarship for entry into Queen's University Belfast lo study in the profession of Architecture. The charity and University will work closely to ensure that the scholarship is awarded lo an individual that twly deserves and wtll greatly benefit from this wondertul opportunity. There is no harm arising from the purposes of the charity. The charity aims to benefit the local community and surrounding areas regardless of age. background or belief. The runningifitness programme will benefit individuals aged 5-75 years of age,'musiclguitsr workshop will benefit individuals aged 12 -18 year5 of age and the scholarship will be for a young student. A Private benefit to Trustees may arise from ongoing training in gwd governance, finance, social media elc. Through this training Trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable lo other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure that the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
