The trustees present their Trustees, Report and the unaudited financial statements for the financial year ended 30
September 2023.
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Charities Aet (Northern Ireland) 2022. FRS 102 Yhe
Flnanclal Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by
Charilies.- Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their financial slalemenls in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021.
In this report the trustees of The Enda Dolan Foundation present a summary of its purpose, govemance, activities,
achievements and finances for the financial year 30 September 2023.

The Enda Dolan Foundation has been set up to celebrate and remember the life of Enda Dolan and lo have a lasting
legacy.
Objectives
The purpose of the charity is to support the advancement of citlzenshlp and communlty development and the
advancement of education through exclusively charitable means, and in particular'.-
The delivery of guitar workshops bringing young people from all communities together to enhance their playing skills
and to share experien￿5..
To organise and facilitate gel running programmes for people of all ages. 8bililies and background to assist in
improved health and well-being.,
The provision of a scholarship for first year students at Queens University, Belfast lo study in the profession of
archileclure,
And the facilitation of any other exclusively charitsble activity that the Trustees deem appropriate.

During thg year the group continues lo meet @very three months. All cheques are signed by two committee members
for accountability.
Review of Activities, Achievements and Performan¢9
This year's activities have returned to greater levels previous lo the global pandemic, throughout the various activities
and events that went ahead we welcomed many new participants and volunteer5.
The annual Red Balloon Guitar Workshop did not take place during the year.
This year'5 Bursary 21 Queens University Belfast for the best first year Architecture sludenl was awarded in
September and continues to be a sought after accolade.
The Foundation h85 continued to campaign and comment on the senten￿S handed out in relation to Death by
Dangerous Driving and has mel with various officials from the Department of Justice.
Financial Revlew
The results for the financial year are sel out on page 7 and additional notes are provided showing income and
expenditure in greater detail.
See the annual report on income and expenditure. Finances and fundraising continue to be reviewed regularly.
Results and Dlvldends
At the end of the financial year the charity has assets of £108,805 {2022 £103,252) and liabilities of £O.0012022
£0.00). The nel assets of the charity have increased by £5,553.

We have an elected chairperson, secretary and treasurer with designated roles within the group. We have many
volunteers of which assist in the effi¢ienl running of the organisalion.
In accordance with the Constilulion, the trustees retire by rolalion and. being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.

The charity engages pro-actively with legislation, standards and codes which are developed for the sector. The Enda

Publlc Benefit Statement
The Iruslees have had regard lo the Commissions Public 8enefft requirement statutory guidance.
The direct benefits flowing from the purposes of the Enda Dolan Foundation are as follows:
-Regarding the runninglfilness programmes. the benefits are for the parttcipanls who become fitter, healthier and
helps their general mental wellbeing.
-In relation to the musiclguilar workshop the benefits are for the young people who can meet up wth other like mlnded
people making new friend and enhancing their playing skills.
Regarding the provision of a scholarship for entry into Queen's Unlversity. Belfast. It Is enabling a young person to
free entry and study in the profession of architeclure.
The benefits in our local area with regards runninglfilness programme can be can be seen with the large numbers of
people who have taken up running a5 a hobby and attend local running events such as the annual "Run for Enda"
The demand for this service and the numbers allending continues to rise and therefore having a positive impaot on
the local community and individuals improving their health and well-being.
The benefits flowing from the musiclguitar workshop is evident with the increase in the number of young people
attending the workshop. Also the charity is seeing participants from previous years coming back lo volunteer and help
out in the delivery of the musiclguitar workshop.
The benefits llowing from the provision of a scholarship is that a student will gain a scholarship for entry into Queen's
University Belfast to study in the profession of Archileclure. The charity and University will work closely to ensure that
the scholarship is awarded to an individual that truly deserves and will greauy benefit from this wonderhjl opportunity.
There is no harm arising from the purposes of the charity. The charity aims lo benefit the local community and
surrounding areas regardless of age. background or belief. The runninglfilness programme will benefit individuals
aged 5-75 years of age-musiclguitar workshop will benefit individuals aged 12 -18 years of age and the scholarship
wtll be for a young sludenl. A Private benefit lo Trustees may arise from ongoing training in good governan￿,
finance, social media el¢. Through this training Trustees gain skills and experience which are trdnsferable to other
setbngs. These benefits are incidental and necessary lo ensure that the benefit is provided lo our beneficiartes.

OF THE ENDA DOLAN FOUNDATION
We have examlned the financlal slalements of the charlty for the financl81 year ended 30 September 2023, which
comprise the Financial Slalemenls and the related notes.
This report Is made solely lo the charivs members. as a body. In accordance with the Charities Act {Northem Ireland)
2022. Our work has been undertaken so that we might compile the financial statements that we have been engaged
to Compile. report lo the Board of Trustees that we have done so. and slate those matters that we have agreed to
slate to them in this report and for no other puipose. To the fullest extent pemiitted by law, we do not accept or
assume responsibility to anyone olh8r than the charity and the charity's members, as a body, for our work, or for this
report.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2022. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required
for this financial year under the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2022 and that an independent examination is
required.
It is our responsibility lo..
examine the financial ststements under section 65 of the Charities Act.,
follow the procedures laid down by the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland
under section 65191{b) of the Charities Act.. and
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basls of independent examiner's report
We have examined your charity financial ststements as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 65191{bl of the Charities Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a comparison of the financial statements presenled with those records. 11 also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the financial slalemenls and seeking explanations from the
Iruslees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts present a 'true and fair. view
and the report is limited lo those matters sel out in the statement below.
In connection with our examination. no matter has come to our attention whieh gives us cause to believe that In. any

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Enda Dolan Foundation is a charity incorporated in Northem Ireland. The registered office of the
company is 8 Knocknamoe Park, Omagh, Co Tyrone, BT79 7LD which is also the principal place of business
of the company The financial statements have been presented in Pound {£) which is also the functional
currency of the company.
SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered
material in relation to the chartty's financlal statements.
Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis under the historical cost convention.

with the Statement of Recommended Practice {SORP}"A¢counting and Reporting by Charities preparing their
accounts in accordan￿ with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republio of Ireland

As permitted by the Companies Act 2006. the chartty has varied the standard formals in that 8cI for the
Stslement of Financial Activities and the Balance Sheet. Departures from the standard fomials are to comply
with the requirements of the Charities SORP and are in compliance with section 4.7, 10.6 and 15.2 of that
SORP.
Statement of compliance
The financial statements of the charity for the financlal year ended 31 December 2017 have been prepared on
the going concem basis and in accordance with the Slalemenl of Recommended Practice {SORP}
"Aecounling and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102" applying Section 1A of that Standard.
Fund accounting
The following are the categorises of funds maintained..
Restrictad funds
Reslricled funds represent income received which can only be used for particular purposes. as specified by
the donors. Such purposes are within the oveiall objectives of the chaTIty.
Unrestricted funds
Unreslricled funds consist of General and Designated funds.
General funds represent amounts which are expendable al the discretion of the board, in furtherance of the
objectives of the charity.
Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that the board has. at ils discretion. sel aside for particular
purposes. These designations have an administrative purpose only, and do not legally restrict the board's
discretion to apply the fund.
Income
Voluntary income or capital is included in the Slalemenl of Financial Activities when the charity is legally
entitled lo it. its financial value can be quantified with reasonable certainty and there is reasonable certainty of
its ultimate receipt. Enlillement lo legacies is considered established when the charity has been notified of a
distribution to be made by the executors. Income received in advance of due performance under a contract is
accounted for as deferred income until eamed. Grants for activities are recognised a5 income when the
related conditions for legal enliuement have been mel. All other income is accounted for on an accnjals basis.
Expenditure
All resources expended are accounted for on an accruals basis. Charitable activities include costs of services
and grants. support costs and depreciation on rolated assets. Costs of generating funds similarly includ8
fundraising 8ctivilies. Non-stsff costs not attributed to one category of activity are allocated or apportioned
pro-rala to the staffing of the relevant seJv¢ce. Finance, HR, IT and administrative staff costs are directly
attributable lo individual activities by objective. Governance costs are thoso associated with conslitulional and
statutory requirements.
Cash at bank and In hand
Cash at bank and in hand comprises cash on deposit at banks requiiing less than three months notice of
withdrawal.

Taxatlon and deferred taxation
No current or deferred taxation arises as the charlty has been granted chaTitable exemption. Irrecover8ble
valued added lax is expensed as incurred.
