Trustee’s Annual Report for year 2022
Within Kilrea Rainbows we work with girls from 4-7 years old to develop them with their Guiding community. We are a voluntary group who provides opportunities for all girls regardless of their disability – learning/physical, their background etc to learn new skills and feel valued within the group we run. The money we have within out group comes from memberships that parents pay to register the girls within the group. Their membership payment covers the cost of each individual child’s insurance and registration. This year we were back up and running with our regular meetings taking place. We increase our intake of girls with a total of 16 girls joining the unit after covid. With the extra girls attending, fees being paid and we applied for a grant it enabled the unit to have some extra funds to run with for the year and we were able to have some planned activities via jumping clay coming to the unit for girls to be creative. We also were able to have our end of year trip to finish up with some fun and everyone thoroughly enjoy it.
