All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop
emotionally, mentallyi physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to
their Community and the wlder world.

A summary of the Charity's main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the
main achievements in the year
The unit had 14 members in 2022.
From Jan 2022 the Brownies worked hard on the Sporting Magic challenge badge, learning the
importance of fitness through fun games & activities and even where food comes from and the
important role of bees. For part of the badge the girls planted bulbs which they took home to
nurture. In Feb Brownies had the firstjoint evening of the year celebratingThinking day and in
early Mar had fun cooking as they practiced flipping pancakes.
April 2022 the Brownies enjoyed a Beach party which was a joint event with the Guides.
Throughout April/May/Jun the Brownie5 enjoyed lots of outdoor fun and activities to complete
the Jubilee cha Ilenge badge.
In Jun 2022 the Brownies a weekend away at Lorne, a big adventure as many had never stayed
away before. The girls completed the Seaside challenge badge at camp.
The term ended with a Jubilee celebration party.
Brownies returned in Sep working on the Adventures in the dark challenge badge which included
activities such as Rocket making.
The year ended with a fundraiser, Christmas craft and a Christmas party.
There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit.

In planning and delivering the activities for the year, the trustees have had regard to the
Commissions Public Benefit regulatory statutory guidance. This enables us to achieve our purposes
and provide a benefit to the girls in our unit.
A review of the Charity's financial position at the end of the year
