rtfor1' wnies Se 2025. er 2024t Despite our lower nLtmbers we had a busy but enjoyable year and took part in a varied programme incorporating all of ourthemes. We focused mainly on Express Myself and Be Well howeverwe did some UMAS and badges from each theme. We had five Brownies achieve their Bronze Award, two Silvers and one Gold-the first GoLd Award we have had in our Unit. In addition to our programme we held a"Thinking Day Evening'when we looked at all the World Centres and did a range of crafts from the different countries as well as samplingvarious foods. We made cards for Mother's Day, Easter and Christmas besides a range of Christmas Crafts. Events attended during the year included:_ A visit to Cornfield Nursing Home to entertain the residents through song, dance and music recitals on various instruments. The Christm8s Parade in Limavady organised by Causeway Coast and Glens for the switch on of the Christmas lights. The Remembrance Concert at Limavady High School. Other badges which we attained during the year outside of our programme badges included the Big Garden Birdwatch, Girlguiding Ulster Goes Wild and the "Make a Splash" Badge. We finished the year with a Fun Day at Castlerock. Our theme was pirates and as well as earning our Pirate Badge we looked at climate change, planted sunflowers, enjoyed the kite festival on the beach and the vintage car rally in the village. This is an outing we will neverforget as we all had a fantastic time with pure blue skies and such an exciting and varied programme. Our charity event for this year was to support the Shoe Box Appeal by either bringing in packed boxes or donating a range of items to help complete partly filled boxes. We were overwhelmed by the supportwe received for this Appeal. Three of our Brownies have now moved to Guides.
