## **Report for 1[st] Ballykelly Brownies.       2022 to 2023** 

We commenced the year by comple1ng the “Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday” challenge and completed a range of UMA:- Fox, Frog, Flea, BoCle mansions, Torchlit Tour. 

To celebrate Halloween we had a fancy dress Halloween party which was enjoyed by all. 

The  Church Hall where we meet had a Poppy display which was open to the public during the week of Remembrance and all the youth organisa1ons were asked to provide a display. 

The Brownies made a large poppy out of boCle tops which was displayed in the Hall. 

We then completed a range of Christmas craNs and held a Christmas party. 

2023 started with us focusing on our Promise and law and Comple1ng the 100 Challenge. 

At Thinking Day we held an evening when we focused on “Round the World” ac1vi1es, we renewed/made our Promise and looked  at flags, foods etc from other countries – very much an Interna1onal Evening with games and songs from around the world. 

We then did  the Innovate Skills Builder and also the Explore Skills Builder. – By comple1ng the  Explore Skills Builder we covered a great range of outdoor ac1vi1es which the girls really enjoyed.  This was also complimented by a range of UMA from Have Adventures. 

Just before the end of term we explored Limavady and learnt a lot about our local history as well as basic map reading. 

Abigail McCollum was presented with her Bronze Award. 

We finished the term with our Lorne Walk which was well supported and we raised over £300. 

We held a Brownie Sleepover at the Peter Thompson Hall in Castlerock from 2[nd] to 3[rd] June 2023 when we completed a range of ac1vi1es from the Skills Builder Badge, “Have Adventures”, we completed the Corona1on and Kindness Challenge from Girlguiding Tyrone County and the “Out and About Wee Beas1es” badge from Girlguiding Scotland. 

A few of our Brownies aCended the County overnight event at Benone . Our numbers are down to 16 but we plan to ac1vely promote Brownies again during the summer.
