**Purposes:** The purposes of Larne Evangelical Church as further explained in our Constitution are:-  1. To preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. 2. To recognize Jesus Christ as the supreme head of the church.  3. To govern the local Church. 4. To shepherd the flock of God and guard them from error. 5. To teach the Word of God and set forth the beliefs of the Church. 6. To provide for members the ordinances of Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Table. 7. To attend to the material and financial affairs of the Church. 8. To care for the poor and needy with whom the members may come into contact.  (All of the above in accordance with the principles as taught in the Bible.)
