Trustees report for Origin Bible Trust. For year 1/5/24 to 30/4/25.
-
The exhibition was hosted at various primary and secondary schools by invitation, staying for one to three days at each location. It was also set up in several church buildings and rented commercial premises, where local schools and the public were invited to attend. Controlled, maintained, and integrated schools responded positively to these invitations. Schools were provided with complimentary transportation to the exhibitions, courtesy of
-
local Christians who covered the costs. When open to the public, visitors could explore the displays freely, with trustees avatlable to offer information and answer questions. Children participated in guided age-appropriate tours of the exhibition, which addressed
-
topics including the history and central themes of the Bible, its origins, and its societal impact. Teachers provided highly positive feedback regarding both the exhibition's content
-
and the effectiveness of presenters in engaging with each age group. Furthermore, 1t was observed that the exhibition's material closely aligned with the requirements of the national Religious Education curriculum. During this period the exhibition was displayed in a local prison when prisoners were able to view it and ask questions. There was no admission fee for the exhibition, and neither collection boxes nor donation appeals were employed. The trust did not engage in any fundraising activities. Expenditures incurred by the trust were limited to insurance, design and printing of publicity materials, and venue rental fees. Transportation and operation of the exhibition were managed by the trustees at their own personal expense. No trustee received remuneration or expense reimbursement from the trust. The trustees are confident that the Bible Exhibition has provided educational value to the public by offering insights into the world’s bestselling book and introducing individuals to the teachings of Jesus Christ. The trustees are not aware of any adverse effects arising from the trust’s activities.
