The Charity’s object is the advancement of community development in Carnlough and its environs (the “area of benefit”), an area of economic and social deprivation, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, disability, or political, religious or other opinion and in particular: (a) the promotion of the community and voluntary sector for the benefit of the public by providing facilities and amenities to community and voluntary groups; (b) the creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of retail, office and workspace for use on favourable terms.
