Activities throughoutthe year included working on the new guiding program and completing
various Skill Builder Activities and Unit Meeting Activities {UMAs) along with a couple of interest
badges. DofE continues to be popular with a number of girls now working on their Gold level
av4pra. i)ne t<angers is also worKing on ner iiueens qiuiae Awara, tne nigtiesi awara possii)ie in
GirlGuiding. This same Ranger has also untaken a position representing young members on the
Ulster Executive Committee.
The unit enjoyed a trip out to °bonzerize' and exercise routlne completed on mini trampolines,

September saw the unit increase to 15, with new members welcomed as they moved up from
the Guide section. The Autumn term also saw us tsking part in the local Remembrance Day
parades and supporting the local BB company at their enrolrnent parade and service. Autumn
term also saw the girls attending a Ranger and Young Leader Prom at Lorne. All dressed up in
their finery they joined other Rangers from all over Ulster to enjoy a formal dinner, followed by
dancing and mocktails. On overnight stsy in the lovely old house in Lorne was completed by
brealrfast the followlng morning.
Throughout the year there was no harm resulting from the univs purposes or activities and there

A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commlsslon's Publlc Benefit requirement
statutory guldance
In fulfilling the public benefit requirement, the charity trustees have had regard to the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland's statutory public benefit guidance. The purposes of this
charity continue to be:
Educating girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentslly, physically and

The information below sets out the activities we have carried out to further our purpose and
fulfil the public benefit element during the last 12 months. Our beneficiaries: The intended
beneficiaries of our charfty continue to be the glrls and young women who are members of 1st
MniAntnnrri% Rsbns7p.rs.
Our services: We provide a nurnber of services to our beneficiaries. Most of these are provided
on a weekly basis (when possible}, through meeting activities based up and following the
relevant Girlguiding sectional program. We also provide guidan¢e to those girls furthering their
personal development through the participation at all levels of the DofE program.
A revlew of the Charl￿5 Ilnanclal posltlon at the end of the year
Atthe end of the year the charity is in a very comfortable position with a healthy balance in the
bank and in cash. This will enable the unit to pay its subscriptlon charges to Girlguiding
Headquarters In February 2023.
