The purpose of the Lisburn Church of the Nazarene is to advance God'5 Kingdom by the preseNation
and propagation of Christian Holiness as set forth in the Bible.
Lisburn Church of the Nazarene exists to senie as an instrument for advancing the Kingdom of God
through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel where God has placed us in Lisburn and the
surrounding community.
The Trustees of the Church continually strive to maintain the Church building and the Manse
propertie5 to a high standard through regular tnspections of the buildings by ourselves and third
party inspectors when required.
During the year an inspection was carried out on the Church property by the fire protection
engineers to ensure compliance with Fire Safety regulations.
The direct benefits which flow from our organisational purposes are:_
l. Access to weekly services and other gatherings of worship and prayerfor members and non-
member5 andfriends to promote family and wellbeing and increased ability to contribute
positively to society.
2. Access to support and guidance of its members thot seek to promote an understt7nding of the
Christion beliefs as set out in the Church Articles offaith, enables those members to be better
able to serve the local community.
In addition to the Sunday morning service we consistently held Wednesday evening prayer meetings
and monthly missionary meetings. The Kids club and the NYI ( Youth Ministry ) meet on a regular
basis on a Friday evening during the months September- March.
3. The promotion of religious artivity, well-being, spiritual life, education, relief of poverty,
training and equipping, work of youth, younger children and the elderly, homeless and other
local and national churities.
We regularly visit members and friends of our Church, whether at home, in nursing homes or
hospitals ensuring them of our Pastoral care, prayers and ensuring they can participate in fellowship.
4. The development of relationships with other Churches in the local oreos as well a5 nationally
and overseos which are mutually beneficial in odvoncing our aims
We invited and included other denominations to join with us as we reach into our community to
share 'special services, at Easter, Harvest and Christmas. As a Church we look forward to building on
the existing and introducing new ministries during the next year.
