Trustees Report 2023/2024 Greenisland Church of the Nazarene.
Duties of the Trustees is to hold the title to the church property and manage it and this includes maintenance and repair when necessary.
The Trustees have overseen the maintenance of the church, hall, and grounds and any ongoing works in progress.
We the Trustees have made sure the boilers are working and oil fills are paid for, church insurance paid, electric bills paid.
We had an oil leak in a pipe at the church boiler which was fixed.
We have an ongoing investigation of low water loss in the Dickson Hall boiler.
A special blessing from the Trustees to the 3 church cleaning teams .
In the summertime we had cleaning teams in the church and hall. ( Thank you).

Thanks to the team cutting the hedges and clearing up, Donna, Ken, Eddie and myself Trevor.
Thanks to Rev Norman Patterson for keeping in touch with our solicitors and the McCays and their solicitor.
The plan was agreed a few years ago.
In exchange for a few meters of our property mainly made up of hedge. The McCays would remove all hedges along our front of the church completely and replace it with a 1 metre high wall and new gates at the entrance.
The McCays are going to pay for the work and pay our solicitor fees. We are awaiting the McCays to contact us with their building Contractor. No work is to be carried out at the weekends.
Last year The local church district said they saw no problems with this plan for the church. We the trustee agreed this would enhance the church property and allow the McCays a better driveway.
Thanks to Trevor Girvan for upgrading the electric safety trips in the church.
In the Autumn time we formed a building and maintenance team to report to the church board.
The team is Drew Hazzard, Trevor Grivan, Trevor Brown Heather Gray.
There is a list of things that need repaired or replaced on the church notice board. If you see anything that requires immediate action contact the team or the church board. if its not urgent put it in writing in a letter to the church board
We have a new quote for
Emergency lights and Fire Extinguishers in the church and church hall as the other company tried to rip the church off with false invoices and bad workmanship causing the work they carried out to be of high concern.
We have got quotes for new door handles replaced in the church and one lock in the Dickson Hall.
Also 8 doors to be planned down as catching on carpets.
We have also been getting quotes for our 30 year old window repairs in the church and two cracked windows in the Dickson hall.
We also have and are getting quotes for main floor replacement in the Dickson Hall.
