## Chairperson’s Report 2024/25 

Apple Blossom Pre-School provides pre-school education for children. It serves the parish of Crossgar and surrounding areas. The children are provided with a high quality, stimulating pre-school education. The pre-school employs 4 staff members who . are fully qualified in childcare and education. 

The pre-school also offers a pre pre-school service within the setting two afternoons a week (Monday & Tuesday). This is a great benefit to children who then move into preschool the following September. 

The pre-school is run be a management committee of local people including past and present parents. 

The pre-school receives money from the Education Authority for each pre-school child. This money is used to pay staff wages and all other associated expenses. Additional funds are received by grants and fundraising. We have organised a number of fundraising events throughout the year to include: 

- e Christmas Draw 

- e Smartie Tubes 

- e Easter Draw 

- e Teddy Bears Walk 

Fundraising is crucial to the pre-school and it also involves the children. Details of amounts raised can be found in the accounts.
