Activities
The Fountain Cancer Support Group is established for the promotion of health and to advance education about cancer among people in the Ards and North Down geographical area of Northern Ireland who are suffering from cancer and their families, friends and carers (hereinafter called “the beneficiaries”) and in particular (a) to provide complementary therapeutic treatments by fully trained therapists to help in the relief of stress and anxiety for the sufferers and beneficiaries (b) to provide support services for the beneficiaries (c) to foster an atmosphere of mutual support among the beneficiaries and to encourage them to provide mutual support and encouragement to each other (d) to provide advice, information, educational programmes to the beneficiaries and to promote public awareness about the effects of cancer and methods of management and of services and resources (both formal and informal) available.
