CHURCH >. NAZARENE Goceance Vct. Lurgan
End of Year Trustee’s Report for 2025
Lamentations 3:23
“Great is His faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning”. (NLT)
There is not one of us within this Church can question God’s faithfulness as we have witnessed many examples where only God could have been at work.
In the past year we hosted another Community Family Fun Day and the Car Rally both held in August. We also held our Carol Service in the Sanctury and were supported by Hamiltonbawn Silver Band along with the Naz Youth Band. These events were well attended by members of the community and our own church family.
Coffee, Chat & Craft.
The introduction of a Wednesday evening bi-weekly has been a great success with many who are unable to attend ona Tuesday morning attending. The group has continued to work towards supporting Project Romania and play in early 2026 to have a visit from Rev Norman & Linda Patterson and hope to make a financial donation to their work in Romania. It is planned in 2026 that Lynn Johnston and Gill Beattie will co-ordinate the Coffee, Chat and Craft group once applications for their Access NI have been completed etc.
Walking Group
Sadly, numbers for this group has dropped for various reasons but hopefully come the Spring and sunshine will encourage some to get out and get those all-important steps in with the opportunity to share and talk. Being able to share a problem or difficulty is always so much better than keeping things locked in. This group has met the needs of many Physically by getting the steps in, Spiritual being able to share and talk about what God is doing in our lives and Mentally by getting out of the house getting some
fresh air into the lungs and taking in the beautiful scenery we have in our own Lurgan Park.
Music Lessons
We have 2 people currently having weekly music lessons on a Friday and the kids are growing weekly. You can see their individual confidence growing and their personalities develop as well. They love to share the gift of music in church services especially the service where we have Hamiltonbawn Silver Band and being part of a much larger band.
Prayer Meetings/Bible Study
Weekly meetings continue on a Wednesday at 1lam - Prayer & Support again an opportunity to talk and share. Thursday at 7.30pm Prayer & Bible Study. When we look at what is going on in the world there really it really is evident that People Need The Lord.
Our prayers continue that we will see all the church across the town filled. with people hungry for the Word of God.
Church Services
We are blessed to be still holding two services each Sunday at 11.30am and 6.30pm. Numbers in attendance vary but we continue to pray that God will fill His church and people will find a warm welcome when they come. Many of our church family can testify to What A Faithful God Have I.
Compassion In Action (CIA)
We have been blessed that we have been able to support local families with support. This support has been in the purchase of food shopping and for some home heating oil. If you are aware of someone struggling please do not be afraid to contact the Pastor, Rev Philip Evans or the Church Secretary, Darren McKeown and will endeavour to be able to meet the need. Praise God up until this point we have never had to turn a person(s) away or say no, again an example of God’s faithfulness.
Accounts
Our accounts have been examined again in accordance with the regulations, and were found to accurate and correct at the time of examination. Our external examiner again this year was Joanna Derrick. Joanna got married in the past year and know that God
will bless her and her husband in their married life together. (Joanna’s maiden name was Pierce).
In conclusion, I which to acknowledge God’s faithfulness to each one of us. For His grace and mercy to us all, the fact we have a home, clothes on our back and food on the table a true testament of God’s Love. John 3: 16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (NLT)
