Structure, Governance and Management
Friends of Sacred Heart North Belfastls an unincorpordted charity, and was registered with the Charity
Commisslon of Northern Ireland on 25 May 2017. The charity number is NIC106454.
The charity is governed by its constitution and is established to advance the education of the puplls
attending the Sacred Heart Boyg Primary School in North Belfast by providing or assisting In the
provision of educational facilitles at the school and developing effettive relationships between the
staffi parents and others who befriend the school and by any other charitable means as the trustees
see fit.

Objertives and Activities
The charity will organlse events and apply forfunds in orderto enhance the opportunities for children
and parents in a highly deprived area. They will aim to provide activities and improve the surroundings
for the families within the sacred Heart Community.

Achlevements and Performance
During the financlal period, the chadty only held a few fundraising events, which resulted in income
of £3,270.20. No funds raised in the year were provided to the charity, and may be utilised in the next
financial year.
Flnanclal Review
The charity generated a profit of £11.412. The charity is grdteful to all contributors who have
volunteered in their efforts to raise the funds forthe school. At 31 July 2023 the charity has reseNes
of £14,552 to utilise for their charitable activities in the future.
Trustees, Responslbilities Statement
Thetru5tees are responsible forpreparingtheTrustees' Annual Report and the accounts in accordance
with applicable law. The trustees have elected to prepare the accounts under the ￿￿1pt5 and
payments regulations. The trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity is eligible to prepa
-accounts-under-tF4&recelpts-an(Lpaym_ents accounts.
The law applicable to charities in Northem Ireland requires the trustees to prepare accounts for each
financial year. In preparing these accounts, the trustees are required to:
observe the methods and principles in the requirements for receiptsand paY￿ent accounts.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accountlng records that disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financlal
statements comply with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland} 2022, the Charities (Accounts and
Reports) Regulation51Northern Ireland) 2015, and the provisions of the trust deed. They are a150
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taklng reasonable steps for the
prevention and detection of frdud and other irregularities.
