The Trustees present the annual report for Jessie Eades Memonal Church of the Nazarene, Desertmath for the year ended 30th September 2024. Objectives and Activities Th¢ charitable purpose of th¢ Church is to uphold and extend evangelical Christianity consistent ith the Word of God and the Manual of the Church of the Na&3rene. Achievements, Perforniance and Public Benefft The Church has Ven careful consideration to the Charity Conllnission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure the activities entered into during the year have helped to ackn'eve the Church's objectives and activities. as well as providing pubhc benefit. Financial Review Please see separate financial report. It is the policy of the Trustees to invest and reserv¢ funds to gain the best possible return Thllthout putting them at risk. Our operating receipts and pallelltS rq)ort shows a surplus in 2024. A small surplus is expected in the ne¥t period. Going Concern The Trustee's have reviewed the budgets for the N'ear ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate fLmds in place to ensure the Church can continue its activities and the financ statements for the year ended 2023 can be SW off as a going concern. Compliance and Public Benefit The Church has vell careful consideration to the Charity" Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensurc that activities cntcred into during the year have helped to achieve the Church's objectives and activities. as well as providing public benefit.
Statement of Trnstee's Responsibilities The Trustee's are responsible for preparing the Trustees report and statement of reccipts and pavments and statement of assets and liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charitics in Northern Ireland incomc Icss that £250,000 requires trustees to prepare a statement of receipts and Paents and a statement of assets and liabilities for each fllwicial year. The trustces are responsible for keq)ing accounting records that aic sufficient to show and explain the Church's transactions and d]'sclose ryth accuracy at the time the assets and liabilities of the Church. They are also responsible for safeguardmg the assets of the Church and hencc for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and d¢tection of fraud and othcr irrw]larities.
