Welcome

Mr Bogle welcomed everyone and especially to all the new comers - it is great to see such a great turnout.

Previous Minutes Read

Mr Bogle read to the previous minutes which was agreed by Rachel Buchanan and seconded by Karen McNeely.

Report for 2021/2022

Mr Bogle gave an up to date report on the 2021/2022 events and thanked the FOB for all their financial support though out the year.

Financial Report 2021/2022

Treasurer Melanie Rankin gave a financial report which was all agreed by the committee members.

The balance sheet confirmed that we have a healthy closing balance of £5833.00 available in the bank.

It was confirmed the only direct debit for the FOB account was the PTA insurance policy which is £116 per year. Melanie confirmed that the accounts had been audited by Kenny McFarland. Melanie would also upload a copy of the accounts along with the minutes from this meeting to the Charity commission website.

Election of New Members

It was confirmed that the existing committee would stay in place as below:

Chairperson : Rachel Buchanan

Vice Chair : Jenny Thompson

Treasurer: Melanie Rankin

Secretary: Karen McNeely

This was proposed by Geraldine Crumley and seconded by Joanne Killen.

FOB funding of new Math’s Scheme

It was agreed that the FOB would fully fund the new Heinemann Math’s scheme for the school which would cost no more than £4400. This was proposed by Melanie Rankin and seconded by Rachel Buchanan. To date Mrs Vance’s class is fully operational with other classes not complete as yet, but would all be in place by Christmas 2022.

Christmas Raffle

In order to fund the new Math’s scheme it was agreed that the FOB would hold their Christmas Raffle to help gain much needed funds as it was such a success in 2021.

It was agreed that the committee would contact the below companies who have supported us in previous year with also the addition of new prizes. It was also agreed that we would charge less this year per ticket, 1 ticket for £5 or 3 tickets for £10 to encourage more sales. This was an option to parents to purchase but that they would be under no pressure to do so. Mr. Bogle confirmed that to date we have 123 children in school with approx. 85 families.

Any other prizes or donations from parents or friends of family would be greatly appreciated also.

Mr. Bogle would ask Leanne if the prizes could be left in the office until Raffle takes place.

It was agreed that the raffle would take place at the Christmas Show on the 16[th] December 2022.

It was also agreed that the companies would be asked if it was ok to advertise them for the raffle as a means of thank you and to also help promote their company. A letter of thank you would also be sent to each company.

It was also agreed that the format of the prizes given out would be announced before the raffle begins.

WhatsApp group

it was agreed to add the new members of the committee onto the existing WhatsApp to help keep everyone up to date.
