All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
During the year to December 2023 there were 16 girls in the Unit and they took part in a variety of activities including crafts, games and food tasting. The girls worked towards a number of challenge badges including a Teddy Bear Badge, Coronation Badge and Space Badge.
We had 2 outings – one to a local urban farm and another to Lorne estate for a Rainbow fun day.
The girls also completed animal crafts to decorate a tree at a Christmas Tree Festival – our theme was Noah’s Ark.

In planning and undertaking the Unit’s activities for the period the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance.

Opening financial position as at 1 January 2023: £1,767 Income during the year: £1,139 (2022: £1,522) Expenditure during the year: £1,957 (2022: £1,386) Closing financial position as at 31 December 2023: £949
