STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
Klrk Session
The charlty trustee5 of the congregations are the members of the Session. Under the con@regatiDn'5 governing document
(The Code. The Book of Government and Order of the RPCI) the Session seeks to watch over and prornote the 5plrltual
Interest of the congregation, ensure pastoral care is in place in the congregation and seeks to further the contrlbutlon of the
church to the Christian wttne5s ond service In the local community.
The 5es5ion has delegated to the Board of Deacons the temporal affairs of the congregation including administerin8 all funds
and property belonglng to the congrÈ8ation. Members of the Session are ex-officio members of the Board of Deacons.
The Sesslon consists of the ordalned mlnlster Ithe teachlng elderl and the nJling elders of the congregation. All members are
entitled to propose, speak and exercise equal votss at a church buslness meetlng. The Sesslon holds stated meetings as
rèquired,
Men In full membership of the con8re8atlon and In agreement wlth the church's Dortrlnal Testimony can be chosen for the
office of ruling elder and elected by the those In full membership of the con8re8ation.
Presbytery
Under the RPCI Code, the overslght of a congre8atlon Is the fesponsiblllty of a Presbytery whlch conslsts of mlnlsters of
congregations in a defined district, a rullng elder commlssloned from each Sesslon. mlnlsters wlthout a church. and retlred
ministers. Kellswater congregatlon Is part of the frlorthern Presbytery of the RPCI.
Synod
Thls Is the supreme court of the RPCI and has authorlty over all the Presbyterles. Sesslons and congregatlons. It conslsts of
all mlnlsters and one rullng eldey commlssloned by each COng￿atIon.
DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The charitable purpose of the congregation Is the advancement of the Chrlstlan rellglon.
ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES
The congregatlon meets for worshlp twlce every Sabbath at which all visitors are welcome to partlclpate. The Sacrament of
the Lord'5 Supper Is observed four tlme5 each year and open to members who meet the bSbllcal requlrements of the
denomlnatlon and to members In good standlng of other evangelical churche5. The congregation hold a mid-weekly meetlng
to study the Blble and pray for a whole range of personal. church, natlonal and international matters.
ACHIEVEMENT5 AND PERFORMANCE
Worshlp and Prayer
The cong￿gatIOn meets for worship each Sabbath at 12noon and 6.30pm. Durin8 the week the 8lble study provldes
opportunitle5 to meet together for fellow5hip* tQ study the Scriptures and have a tlme of prayer. A Sabbath school
continued throughout the year wlth 9 chlldren. A women's fellowshlp meetlng continued on a quarterly basis with around
12 ladles In attendance wÉth severèl vlsitorsJolnin8 the 8roup on each occasion. At 31 December 2024 there were 29
communicant members and 25 families connected with the congregatlon.
Pastoral Care
Member5 of the con8re8ation unable to attend worship due to sickness or age are v151ted where appropriate or ¢ontactÈd
by telephonÈ on a règular basis by the minister elders.
Dlaconate
During the year there was an election lor deacons. Two men were elected and ordalned to the office.

The congregation financially contributes to the wider mission attlvltles of the RPCI and also other mlssionary/humanltarian
endeavours throughout the world including work in Eastern Europe and China. The church sponsors the education and
spiritual needs of a chlld in Bollvla through a mlsslonary organlsation.

PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT
Presbytery and Synod
The congregation was represented at mÈÈtings of the Presbytery and Synod by the minister and o ruling elder.

These beneflts are demonstrated in that the congregatlon provldes a place for meeting and wotshlp- these are open to the
wlder publlc.
Other beneflts are seen in the Ilves of the people conforming more and more to the hl8hest ethlcal and moral standards in
accordance wlth the Chrlstian falth.
Beneflts can be further dernonstrated through our mlsslonary and outreach work and through the traSnlng of students for
the Chrlstlan mlnlstry at our Reformed Theological College. One of our members was enrolled during the year.
There wlll be no harm as a result of the work of the congregation.
The weekly worshlp servlces and Bible study are open to members. adherents and other members of the public who may
wlsh to attend, and Invltatlons are distributed locally to that end.
Only those who meet the membership requlrements of the denomlnatlon may partlclpate in the observance of the Lord's
Supper.
Outreach work Is condurted In the nelghbourhood of the church e.8., gospel tract dlstrlbution, Invltatlon to speclal Interest
meetings in the Ballymena area. The congregatlon malntalns a church webslte with access to sermon recordings and a host
of other theologlcal, hlstorlcal and devotional aids.
The only prlvate beneflt within the context of the work of the congre8ation Is the personal deeper understandlng and
experience 8ained by those Involved In promotlng the alms of the Chrlstian falth and of the denomlnation.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The congregatlon'5 maln source of Income is members. contriljutions through the weekly Freewlll Offering. There were 28
contrlbutors during the year128 in 20231 donatlng a totsl of £35,27512023: £34,(XJ41
Total Income of the congregation durlng the year was £76.951 compared to £66.166 In the prevlous year,
Total expendltUTe decreased from £70,519 to £68,565.
