
## **Trustee Annual Report Form – Template** 

This template is to provide guidance to units who are completing a Trustee Annual Report for the NI Charity Commission.  If you do not wish to use this form please ensure that the headings in this guidance are followed when completing a Trustee Annual Report. 

## **All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.** 

**The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.**

## **A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year** 

We had a full membership of 24 girls aged 7-10 years. 

18 of the girls gained their Baking Badge and 1 gained their Languages Badge. 

We had a trip to the local cinema to see Matilda. 

We took the girls to a day event at the Girl Guiding Activity Centre in Lorne in March, this included crafts and games with a Myths & Legends theme. 

We also took some of the older girls to a World Thinking Day event at the activity Centre in Lorne and also did a unit meeting with this theme focusing on friendship and Girlguiding in other countries. 

We had a unit meeting celebrating the Chinese New Year where the girls got to try different foods and did a Chinese craft and game. 

We had a visit from Junglenastix who brought gymnastic equipment for the girls to use and 5 girls made their Brownie promise at this event. 

We had a visit to the local fire station where we got to meet some female firefighters and got to see some of the equipment and talk about fire safety.

All Trustees are aware of the Commissions Public Benefit  requirement statutory guidance. 




## **A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year** 

At the end of the financial year 2[nd] Whitehead Brownies had a surplus of £1007.23 in the account, this was in reserve for the upcoming camp to be held in June 2023. 

**Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit** 

There was no deficit at the end of the financial year.
