**Purposes:** The Group is established to keep older persons in the Charlemont and Cranagill area (‘the area of benefit’) socially active by the provision of recreational and leisure time activities in the interests of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life and to ensure that older persons within the area of benefit maintain a healthy mind and body.
