Activities & Achievements

During 2022. weeldy servtces for public worship took place each Sunday morning and evening. These services involved worship, fellowship and an address providing an explanation and application of the Bible to various aspects of life. These worship services are open to the members and adherents of the church, and also to the general public. The services are broadcast on YouTube for those unable to attend and the sernlons are uploaded to Sermonaudioncom and reach a worldwide audience. The local community was made aware of these opportunities for understanding the message ofthe Bible through the noticeboard. literature distribution. newspaper advertisements and personal invitation of the members. Weekly midweek Bible studies and prayer continued throughout the year except July and AugusL Those attending were taught the meaning and application of various Bible passages and their relevance to life in the world and prayer was offered for the various needs of members and their friends and relatives and the needs ofthe nation in general. Activities and events were also held for the children of members and friends on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. Members, adherents and visitors from the general public were invited each fortnight to a church lunch: this provides ongoing support to those in the church community and beyond. All who attend the church have received. as appropriate. pastoral support amidst the challenges of life. Flnancial Review The Trustees are thankful for the continued monetary support received in 2022. Total income received in the current financial year was £127,284. Expenditure for this year was £100.983. Reserves policy The Trustees monitor their income and expenditure, to deterniine the level of reserves need to enable us to continue to meet our aims and objectives in future years. Public Benefit of the Charity Newtownards Reforn]ed Presbyterian Church continues to benefit the church members. regular worshippers and community by sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Chris¢ which is a life transforming message. The regular weekly presentation of the Word of God continues to shape the lives of all who attend and equip them intellectually, morally. socially and spiritually to serve in society. All the public times of worship are open to and advertised to the community through, for example. church noticeboard. banners. literature distribution, social media, and regular individual invitations.

All who attended the church receive the benefit of pastoral counsel as need arises. The minister also visits in the local community providing Bible teaching in different aspects of life. Only the minister receives private benefit from the charity by way of employment benefits as payment for full time gospel ministry. Statement of Trustees Responsibilities For year ended 315t December 2022 The financial statements are prepared in line with set out regulations for preparing financial statements. The Trustees have ensured that proper accounts are kept for the charity. The Trustees have ensured that any assets of the charity are safeguarded against fraud and other irregularities.
