Structure, Covernance and Management
The Welcome Community Group was founded in 2011 with its own written Constitution
and comprises of six board members. The said trustees are responsible for the overall
manageinent and operations of the Amy Carmichael Centre which opened in August 2016.

Objectives and Activities
Our objective is to providc a t'acility that is ot bcnetit to thc community. Associating
ourselves with Statutory Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in a common
etTort to advance education and religion to provide a shared space in the interests of Social
Welfare, Recreation and Life Skills. The Objective being to improve the conditions of life
for the said inhabitants.
Activities that are held on a weekly basis include Senior Citizen Group, a youth club with
ovcr 150 children aged 5 -12. Ballet classes, a Dance Group, a club for age 12-16 and
tishing group
Summary of Main Achievements and Performance
As a management team of trustees, we have been able to deliver and provide the above

mentioned programmes and activities on a weekly basis, in an area which is an
impoverished community with so many Social and Health problems. The Amy Carmichael
Centre is in constant demand and widely used. It is a safe place for ev¢ryonc who entcrs its
doors, Benefiting the Physical and Mental needs of the local community.
We as trustees are proud of our t'acility and so pleased with the success it has been since
opening in 2016. Providing a need in so may lives on a daily basis.
