The directors have pleasure in presenting their rcport and the audited financial statements of the
charitable company for the year ended 31 December 2023. The directors havc adopted the provisions
of ihe Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charilies" (FRS
102) in preparing the annual report and financial statements of the charitable company.
The financial statemenls have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in
notes to the financial statements, applicable accounting standards including Accounling and Reporting
by Charitics: Statement of Rccommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Rq)orting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland issued
in October 2019, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of
Ireland (FRS 102), the Charities Act 04lorthern Ireland) 2008. Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2013,
The Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations (Northem Ireland) 2015, Companies Act 2006, the
charitable company's governing document and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT
The directors of Lord Enniskillen Memorial Orange Society confinn that they have had due regard for
the guidance on Public Benefit by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and are pleased to
re￿rt that during the year the charitable company continued to provide the Public Benefits through
programmes and services we offer. In particular. the directors consider how planned activities will
contribute to the aims and objectives they have set.
Public Benefits:
Children and families in necessitous circumstances are assisted and poverty is relieved.
Familie5 have sufficient resources so that children's welfare does not unduly suffer due to
bereavement, sickness or oth¢r causes of povertylhardship, and the care and development of children
is not compromised.
The benefits can be demonstrated from feedback from granl recipients and supporting organisations.
Governing document
Lord Enniskillen Memorial Orange Society is a charitable company limited by guarantee and does not
have any share capilal. li was incorporated on I l November 2016 and registered as a charity with The
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland on 5 February 2018.
In the event of ihe company being wound up members are required to contribute an amount not
exceeding £1.
Recrultment, appolntment, Induction and training
The directors regularly review the requirements of the charitable company and Ihe possibility of a
need for additional directors. Any new directors would be appointed by resolution of a meeting of all
the directors passed by a majority of those present. Appropriate training and induction is available to
all directors.
Risk management
The directors have assessed the major risks to which the charitable company is exposed, in particular
those related to the opcrations and finances of the charilable company, and are satisfied that syst¢ms
are in place lo miligate an exposure to major risks. Where appropriate, systems or procedures have
been established to mitigale ihe risks the charitable company faces. Internal control risks are
minimised by the implementation of procedures for authorisalion of all transactions and projects.
Procedures are in place to ensure compliance with hcalth and safcty of staff, volunlccrs, clients and
visitors. These procedures are periodically review￿ at least annually io ensure that they continue to
meet the needs of the charitable company.
OrgaDlsatlon Structures and related parties
The directors oversee the running of the ¢haritabl¢ company. Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland is related
to the charitable company.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Lord Enniskillen Memorial Orange Society provides grants to relieve poverty.

ACHIEVEMENTS AIYD PERFORMANCE
Total income for the year amounted to £449,559 (2022: £455,313). Income derived from donations
and legacies amounted to £148,705 (2022: £104,436) and investment income amounted 10 £300,854
(2022: £350,877).
Total ¢xp¢nditur¢ for the year amounted to £519,336 (2022: £451,514). The cost of raising funds
amounted 10 £31,720 (2022: £32.543) and cost of charitable activities amounted to £487,616 (2022:
£418.971).
The nel expenditure for the year before investment gains or losses amounted to £69,777 (2022.. £3,799
net income).
Reserves poll¢y
The charity's policy is to maintain r¢s¢rves at such a level as limils risks from future downturn in
charity income or from increased expenditure in the longer tern], including expenditure on fixed
assets.
This provides sufficieni funds to cover running cosls whtch include management,
administration and support costs. Frtt reserves are th05¢ unrestrioted reserves not designated nor
invested in fixed assels which are available for general us¢. The trustees are particularly conscious
that voluntary donations and legacy income cannot be relied on as a continuing and certain source of
incoming rcsourccs for ihc luturc and is also aware of the to guard against the vagaries of stock
market perforniance.
Funding
The principal funding is from donations and investment income.
PLANS FOR FUTURF. PFRIODS
The directors envisage there will be no change in the charity's objectives and activities for the
foreseeable fuiure.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTORS
The trustees (who are also ihe directors of Lord Enniskillen Memorial Society for the purposes of
company law) are responsible for preparing the Directors, Annual Report and the financial statements
in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Siandards (Uniied Kingdom
Generally Accepted Accounting Practice) including FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard
applicabl¢ in the UK and Republic of Ireland,
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the directors to prepare financial
statements for each financial period which give a tNe and fair view of the state of atTairs of th¢
charitable company and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income
and expenditure. of the charitable company for that period.

In preparing these financial statemenls, the directors are required to:
selecl suitable accounting ￿li¢l¢S and then apply them consistently;
observe ihe methods and principles in the Charities SORP 2019 (FRS 102);
make judgements and a¢counting estimates thal are reasonable and prudent;
state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards hav¢ been followed, subject to any material
departurcs disclosed and explained in the financial statements;
prepare the financial stalcmenls on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate lo presume
that the Charitable company will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records ihat disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charitable company and enable th¢m to ensure that the
financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006, Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and
The Charities {A￿OuntS and Reports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015. The directors are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charitable company and hence for taking reasonable steps
for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate financial infonnation
includ¢d on the charitable company's websile. Legislation in th¢ United Kingdom governing the
preparation and dissemination of financial statements may diff¢r from legislation in other jurisdiction5.
In so fAr as the direclors are aware:
there is no relevant audit infonnation of which the charitable company's audilors are unaware. and
the directors have laken all sieps ihat they ought to have taken to make themselves aware of any
relevant audil inforniation and to establish that the charitable company's audilors are awar¢ of that
inf0m￿tiOn.
IIYDEPENDENT AUDITORS
GMCG Belfast has indicated their willingness lo remain in office and a resolution for their re-eleclion
will be proposed at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
