## Activities

**Purposes:** )       The Company’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the relief of poverty, and in particular:  (a)	the provision of relief to the orphaned children and widowed spouses with a dependent child or children, who are in necessitous circumstances, either parent being a member (or deceased member) of the Loyal Orange Institution of Ireland or the Association of Loyal Orangewomen in Ireland; and  (b)	the relief of members of the above said institutions, their families and dependents in necessitous circumstances, especially where such hardship relates to the care of a dependent child or children in circumstances such as:  (i)	the permanent incapacity of an adult with responsibilities for a dependent child or children;  (ii)	a child or children who are no longer cared for by their parents, due to one or both being deceased, who resides with and are under the primary care of a grandparent who is a member of one of the said institutions;   (iii)	where the hardship is associated with the special medical needs or disability of a child;  (iv)	 where the hardship relates to the death of a child and meeting of funeral costs;  but also in other circumstances not detailed above at the absolute discretion of the board of directors.
