**Purposes:** To enhance the development and education of children below statutory age and to advance education, relieve poverty, sickness and distress among those in necessitous circumstances in Newtownabbey and its environs (hereinafter called "the area of benefit").  To provide recreational and leisure time facilities in the interests of social welfare for those inhabitants of the are of benefit, without distinction of age, sex, special needs, race, or political, religious or other opinions, who are in necessitous circumstances.
