Taekwon-Do N.I. Mission Statement and Aims.

As a sporting organisation, we promote equality at every level within society, bringing communities together in a safe and trusted environment. We have no political, racial, religious agenda and our main objective is to give opportunity to ever participant in this Korean Martial art to increase their physical and mental well-being, personal self-esteem and create a pathway for sporting prowess as a multi-cultural team. community.

Annual Monitoring Report.

We have had a very successful year in 2025 as the Northern Ireland I.T.F. junior and senior teams with travel to and participation in the following competitions.

31[st] January 2026 - The Dutch Open Championship in Helmond, Netherlands.

12[th] October 2025 – European Championships in Holland.

18[th] October 2025 – INTA Irish Championships, Dublin.

23[rd] November – Taekyon Open Championships in Oss, Netherlands.

We have also held our own National Championships in Northern Ireland in April and September 2025, with both events were held at the Northern Ireland National Badminton Centre in Lisburn. These two local events are our main fund-raising avenues as we receive no other government funding for Taekwon-Do N.I.

27[th] April 2025 - N.I. Colour Belt Championships, Lisburn.

21[st] of September2025 - N.I. National Open Championships, Lisburn.

We are currently engaged in expanding our Outreach Program providing free taster sessions to schools throughout Northern Ireland. We are also exploring the introduction of Female Self-Defence Courses to Woman’s Groups and local Council Groups as a further fund-raising activity to support our students.

Leo Maguire, as the Northern Ireland National Coach and President of Northern Ireland ITF, has brought the N.I. National Team to victory at both National, European and World levels. This level of expertise is now being passed on to the group’s current students as the fully qualified instructors are dedicated to encouraging each child to achieve his or her full potential.
