main achievements in the year
Girlguiding North Down County consists of 74 Units. There are 21 Ralnbow Units, 27 Brownie
Units. 19 Guide Units and 9 Ranger Units which are made up of 1998 girls and 321 leaders.
Since covid Girlguiding North Down County continue to meet three times a year via zoom and
once a year face to face for our Executive Meetings. In addition to this we held our AGM and
Celebration of Awards where 83 Leaders were in attendance. 12 received 5 year service awards,
10 received 10 year service awards, 4 received 20 year Servi￿ awards, 2 received 30 year
service awards, 3 received 40 year service awards and 2 received a 50 year service award. We
are very proud of the great commitment that these ladies have given to Girlguiding North Down
County.
Many of our Leaders attended online training via Zoom. This was to complete mandatory
training which enabled the Units to be compliant with Safe Space level 1, 2, 3 (Child Protection)
and First Response. These trainings are renewed every three years. We had 69 completed face
to face First Response Training
We also enjoyed a Cinema Trip where 235 attended.
In addition to this we held a Brownie Fun Day in March where 195 girls attended with 52
Leaders. We also held a Rainbow Fun Day in March where 85 girls attended along with 31
Leaders. In June we held a County Camp and EJC evenL A Units camped for the weekend and 84
guides competed to win the EJC Shield. The unlts in the County also enjoyed various other fun
activities, baking, crafts, camps, outdoor and indoor activities, programme related activities and
