## Activities

**Purposes:** (1) Advance arts and culture by: (a) the creation, production and promotion of contemporary Irish and European music theatre throughout the island of Ireland and abroad; (b) encouraging, facilitating and assisting the creation of new, original work, particularly work which explores the themes of cultural identity, tradition, multiculturalism, and work that explores the creative use of languages other than English; (c) initiating and facilitating projects to improve engagement in the arts, specifically music theatre, for disadvantaged people and those with special needs. (2) Promote public appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of contemporary music theatre by the professional production and organisation of performances and events in the island of Ireland and abroad.
