The Playgroup took the advantage of a grant under th¢ EA'S Getting Ready to Learn initiative
and also froM"sh￿1ng from the Start" The latter proved to cause additional expense to the
Playgroup mainly due to the requirement for a child to attend all the sessions in order to attract
funding. In a pre-school environment this Can be difficulL
The playgTOUP received a very good ETI inspection report and due credit must go th¢ staff and
Committee members in their efforts to ensure that the PIaygroup provid¢s a quality service.
The Playgroup continually tries to make its Provision affordable and there was no incre&s¢ in
charges for this year.
In tbe year ahead the Committee recognise the need to ensure the Playgroup is effectively
marketed and takes cognisance of the recently COTntnissioned survey on childcare needs in th¢
