## _12th Armagh Slieve Gullion Group Report 2024 -2025_ 

_**We had 20 Beavers and 4 leaders meeting each Monday night, the beavers learn a varied of skills, Including Cooking, First Aid, Shelter  building and pioneering  and camping skills, along with having  fun playing team building games**_ 

_**Along with our Monday nights meetings they also had a number of day trips, sleepovers and a end of year camp**_ 

_**Beaver Sleepover  and Investiture 18/19th October**_ 

_**Beaver Halloween Party 21st October**_ 

_**County Beaver Challenge 17th November Armagh**_ 

_**We Organized  Christmas Family evening and fair  where our Beaver made Christmas Decoration to sell and sang Carols 16th December**_ 

_**SVDP  christmas food appeal  our Group raised nearly £1400 and enough food to help the food bank keep going for several months**_ 

_**We  spent 2 nights learning  about fire safety in the home and at scouts then finished off with a Visit to Newry Fire Station Beavers and Cubs 27th January**_ 

_**Beaver Fun day Dungannon 8th February our group got to mix and make friend with Beaver scouts from different groups in the county.**_ 

_**We finished our Year with A 3 day Full group Summer Camp 20th to 22th June 3rd Monaghan Centre**_ 



_**We had 24 Cubs and 4 leaders again meeting each Monday night, the Cubs  learn a varied of skills, building on the foundation learned in Beavers  Including Cooking on Traingia’s   Basic First Aid, Shelter building and pioneering and Knots building simple structures  along with have fun playing team building games**_ 

_**Along with our Monday nights meetings they also had a number of day trips, sleepovers and a end of year camp**_ 

_**Cubs 17th September Night Hike Slieve Gullion Cub  sleepover  Gosford 12/13th October**_ 

_**Halloween party 21st October**_ 

_**14 January 2025 cub Investiture**_ 

_**We  spent 2 nights learning  about fire safety in the home and at scouts then finished off with a Visit to Newry Fire Station Beavers and Cubs 27th January**_ 

_**First Aid  and CPR Training,After a number of our leaders Refreshed there first Aid they helped the Cubs learn some new basic first aid skills**_ 

_**Cub challenge Newry sun 9th feb   we won !!! team of six**_ 

_**Cub Hike RAvensdale 31st March 16 cubs**_ 

_**Hosted County cub Hike Ravensdale 6th April with Armagh Cubs**_ 

_**12 may Hike and backwoods on slieve Gullion**_ 

_**Our Cubs Got to try out sleeping in Hammocks Out 13/14th June**_ 



## _**Full Group Camp 3rd monaghan 20th June**_ 

_**We attended our first big Camp with 25 groups from across Ireland  in Lockerbie,  Lots of new friend where made and lots of fun had.   Trip for Cubs 1st to 6th July**_ 

_**We had 23 Scouts  and 4 leaders again meeting each Monday night, the Scouts   learn a varied of skills, building on the foundation learned in Beavers  and Cubs Including Cooking on Open Fires,  First Aid and Casualty Management.  Shelter  building and pioneering and Knots building  Tables Dressers wash stands ect  along with have fun playing team building games**_ 

_**This Year our Group Won the County Shield A camping And outdoors skills weekend and had the opportunity to go to Cork and compete in the national event the phoenix Challenge.**_ 

_**Along with our Monday nights meetings they also had a number of day trips, sleepovers and a end of year camp**_ 

_**Had a team of 6 attend the Mourne's Sionnach and hillwalking training and lightweight camping weekend for scouts from all over Ireland**_ 

_**30th September Scout Hike in Ravensdale**_ 

_**13th October Fun day in Carlingford Adventure Centre Halloween Party 21st Oct**_ 

_**County Orienteering In the Mourne's 10th November    we Won !!! 13th January  new scout leader Invistited**_

_**We had one Scout Attend the  Peak wilderness camp for the first time in our groups History 18th - 25th April**_
