  1. Charity's Main Activities and Achievements during the year. The reporting period is for i September 2022 to 31 August 2023. The group continued to run four youth sections (including combined sCOUtlventure meetings) with weekly meetings and events for the reporting period. i For the year, the Group had 15adult volunteers (which included i rover scout) and 58youth members, I Weekly attendance at section meetings was consistent throughout the year with meeting activities and badgework planned with youth input and One Programme. The Group had closed reglstration event this year due to the level of current returning membership and placing from the existing waiting lists. Our numbers are maximized to leaderlchild ratios and leaders, availability, leader recruitment is continuing. Three leaders were invested this year, and one volunteer was pending awaiting Scouting Ireland training. Leader recruitment is the main challenge for the group. We continue to seek support from current and former members, parish bulletin and local press. September 2022- Group Council meeting (GCM) 6 September.Three leaders attended Brian Boru County Skills weekend 23124 September. Weekly section meeting5 recommenced week commencing 12 Septemberfor all sections. i October 2022- Beaver and Cub sections took part Jambowleree Bowling event 9 and 16 October, thi5 I was a free event for members. Long Service Awards presented to adult volunteers Lisa Toner, Eamonn i Goodwin, Maggie Ferran Noreen Donnelly and Donna Grew. Beaver sleepover night 21 October. Education Authority framework completed. GCM 25110 & Extraordinary General Meeting held to adapt Scouting Ireland Governance Charter, copy signed by Charity Trustees in attendance. Committee aff irmed that they have accepted and are working to the Sl Group Charter via Scout Foundation Nl ISFNII November 2022- AGM took place 25 November, three leaders invested, Ben, Laura, and Niamh. Award presentation also took place. Sections meetings focused on adventure skills of pioneering and emergencies acros5 the sections. December 2022- Kids Christmas Bingo li December and 17 December Peace light highlights of the month. Backwoods adventure skills including Christmas log competition. January 2023- Scouting Ireland Census completed. GCM li Jan. Beaver and Cub sections attended local pantomime Craic Theatre Coalisland 26 January February 2023. February 2023- Scout quiz at Dungannon Rugby club 16 February 2023. l March 2023 - GCM 14 March Group Development Plan agreed. St Patrick's day Group took part in Community Parade. Beavers represented the group in county challenge. Start of hillwalking adventure skill with local area hikes from cubs and scout5. First aid skill project for ventures and scouts. April 2023- GCM 18 April, Scout Shield weekend, training team participated bringing home Novice Shield. Attended Cub Challenge. Group Leader training. May 23- Group participated Tyrone Fleadh 28 May, GCM 17 May, Cub Peatland5 Hike, Beaver Space theme overnight. June 2023- Churchgate collection. GCM 19 June. Forest Fest Risk Assessment completed. Venture Hike li June Oxford Island. Cub overnight 22 June. July 2023- GCM 18 July. Scout Group attended Forest Fest Jamboree in Nottingham 28 July to 2 August 2023 Our programme throL*ghout the year saw our youth learn and develop their abilities across a range of adventure sills, from pioneering, emergency response and first aid, camping and camp craft skills including safe fire lighting and cooking on fire and while on the move. Our older scouts added to this as they improved their hill walking and map reading skills. The range of activities across each section also promoted the development of personal and interpersonal skills and gave the opportunity to contribute to their local community.

io. How is the Group doing financially. At the start of the financial yearthe group held an opening balance of £18,772.48 The group income for the year amounted to £31,419.47which included E6003.97registration fees and dues, £0 grant, £21448.00 fundraisingldonations including use of premises. GfOUP expenditure I amounted to £311965.34. This left the group with a closing balance of £18,226.61 as at 31 august 2023. The Group remains in a solventfinancial posltion with most parents signing up to the standing order method of payment for registration fee and weekly dues. This enables families to spread the cost throughout the year. Camp, trips, and uniform costs are also spread out to ensure scouting remains affordable for all, although with restrictions during the period these costs were mini mal. Fundraising activities took place with both families and in the community, donations were stable due to regular hall use. ii. How has the Group ensured members have not come to harm? All adult volunteers receive training in Safeguarding, volunteer Scouters receive Programme (youth work} skills and adventure skillstraining. There is oversight of all planned activity by the Group Leader and the Group Council. There is regular communication with parents, all activities are carefully planned, risk assessment documents are regL+larly reviewed, and the appropriate equipment used. Group Risk Assessment and Development Plan completed and agreed by Group Council. 12. How has your Group ensured that any private benefit to your volunteers has been incidental to the public benefit of your work? Volunteers gain additional transferrable skills, butthis is incidental tothe workthat they do and are the skills that they.-re.9uire to undertake that work 13. A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the CCNIS guidance on Public Benefit. 5t We the Trustees of i Tyrone Scout Group Dungannon, Scouting Ireland can confirm that in setting our objectives and planningfor theyear that we have given careful consideration to the 1 Charity Commissionfor Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries. 14.
