The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the ¢haryty for the year ended 31 May 2024. The
t￿Ste¢S have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Ststement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the
UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) {effe¢tive l January 2019).

Policies and objectives
setting objective5 and pla[￿[n8 for activities, the TTUStees have given due consideration to general £uidance
published by tbe Charity Commission relating to public benefit and in particular to its supplementary public benefil
guidance on the furtheTance of Christianity by fO￿1ftg ￿0upS of Christians in hospitals and other places of medical and
health work for the PUTPOS¢S of fellowship and active evangelism.
The objective5 of the charity, Worldwide. is to inspire and equip healihcare workers to minister God's love. and provide
total patient care.
b. Strategie5 for achieving objeclives
Our aim is to build the kingdom of God in all heallhcare facilities: Bringing together staff from all healthcare
disciplines, who share their Christian faith for mutual encouragement and prayer, as well as to expres5 the love of God
and provide spiritual Care to people who are sick, elderly or disabled. FacilitatÉng communication and partnership wkthin
the network of healthcare workers, chaplains and I￿al ¢hur¢h¢s. Supporting positive healthcare initiatives which will
enlw]¢e quality care ftjr staff, patients and their relatives.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable aetivities
. Mgin achievements of the Charity
115 a Fellowship we seek to initiate regular opportunities to foster support and enwurdgement through prayer and
fellowship for healthca￿ staff within their workplace. Contsct is maintained through personal Yisits, and also via
emails, phone calls, video calls, training and literalure.
Fellowship meetings are held in vaTiOUS hospilals in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. as the
Fellowship takes an all-Ireland approach. Staff who transfer to other fa¢ilities are linked up with existing contacts in
their new place of work
The Trustees as well a5 the memb¢rs of the National Action Team meet regularly for prayer and fellowship via visits
and video calls. Tbey also maintain links with their counterparts in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
The National Artion Team, with the assistance and leadership of the National Coordinator, work together, not only to
support the nelwork ofle1l0wship.￿0Ups, but also to provide suitable training for healthcare'siaff, such as Saline (TM)
trdining.
A greatly encouraging development more recently. has been the uptake by more local churches and hospital chaplains
in hosting and participating in such training. This also enables them in turn to connect with healthcare workers based in
their own areas.
Overall. the statement of fmancial activities for the year ended 31 May 2024 reflects & net decrease in resources of
£16,752 leadlng to a total funds carried forward of £69.627.

The tmstees are continuing to assess any risks to which the charity may be expose4 in particular those related to the
operation5 and finan¢es of the charity.

After making appropriate enquiries, the Trustees have a reasonable expe¢tation that the Charity has adequate resOUr￿S
to continue in operational existence ft)r the foreseeable future. For this reason, they eontinue to adopt the going tonceTn
basis in preparing the financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going ¢oncern basis can be
found in the accounting policies.
b. Reserves poliey
It is th¢ policy of th¢ charity that reserves, that have not been designated for a spe¢ific purpose, be maintained at a level
equivalent to between three and six months expenditure, with which the Trustees consider th¢y will be 74ble to continue
their ¢urTeni adivities.

equivalent to between three and six rnonth5 expenditure, with which the TTUStes consider they will be able to continue

Charity constltutlon
The principal activity of the charity continued to be that of encouraging prayer in the field of health; also training,
discipleship. and evangelism in hospitals and the overall field of healthcare.
The charity has been rom￿llY admitted by ihe Inland Revenue, 8s sucb, for income tax putposes. The statutory reliefs
under S.505 of the Income and Con)oration Taxes Act 1988 are admissible on income from 1st March 1985 subject to
compliance with the tenns of S.505 of the Act. Its regislered number with HMRC is XN70453.

The management of the Charity is the responsibility of the Tn￿tee5 who are elected and COwOPted under the terms of the
Trust deed.

The law applicable to charities in Scotland, the Charities and Trustee Investment (S¢otland) Act 2005. Charities
Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) and the provisions of the charitys Consti￿110n, requires the
trustees to prepare fmancial statements for ea¢h fmancial year which give a true and fair view of the stste of affairs of
the charity and of the incoming resources and appIl￿tiOn of resources, including the income and expenditure. of th¢
charity for that period. In preparing those rjnancial ststem¢nts, th¢ trustees are required lo
select suitable accounling policies and then apply thern consistently:
observe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP;
make judgements and e5timat¢s that are reasonable and prndeni:
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will
continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records whi¢h disclose with reasonable accuTacy at any time
the finartcial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the
