A summary of the Charlrfs maln artmtles to further Its purposes for the publlc benefft and the
maln athlovements In the year
Ban8or Guides is a group of girls •d between 10 and 14 year5 of age who meet 37 weeks of
the year on Fridays from 730 pTrI0.￿ tAn. Durin8 the year there were 24 girls in regular
attendance.
The Guide5 took part in the usual unit athit*s of games. badgework. crafL singin& cookery.
We also held a Zumba eveni￿ laid on a party for our Brownie5. and a550 held a Harrfest Party.
We took part in the Remembrnnce Sunday Parnde aNI Service in Bangor and led our church
congregation for our Thinking Day SeThice.
Away from our nomial meetin8 Pla￿ we did the Lorne Wall followed by a sleepover at the
Ranger Cottage at Lome. We held an overnight camp at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre. During
this event, fNe of the 8irls built and slept in their own shelters am0￿ the trees. as part of the
BadeTrPowell Award. Four of these girls went on to achieve the Award. We attended the il
fated Charnwood International Scout and Guide Camp in Leicestershire. which had to close three
days early due to unprecedented wet weather- still enjoyable though. We held our annual
outdoor cooking on open fires evening at the end ofjune. Two Saturdays before Christmas we
took the train to Belfast for some shopping and lunth. Three girls and two leaders took part In
the Gir18uidi￿￿ Strate8y Day at Lome.
All girls and leaders made a Plastic Promise in October, where we promised that we would be
more sensible In the way we use ￿aStI
There was no harm fk)win8 from the Charit*s purposes and Ihat there was no prlvate benefrt.

The unit stsrted 2019 with a bank balance of £4946.15. enablin8 the unit to open. On 31
December 2019 there was a defiat of £1061.98. Thls deficit was due in part to the purchase of 3
Vango tents and new Girf8uiding programme materiats. Also. money was spent on rex)urces for
weekly unit activlt*s. There is still a healthy balan￿ at the bank of £3884.17.
