A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year

1[st] Comber Guides is a group of girls aged 10-14 years old and who meet 30 weeks of the year (broadly school term time) on a Tuesday evening from 7.30-9.00pm. Numbers attending ranged from 15-17 throughout the year. The Unit is grateful for receiving EA Funding in support of our activities.

We started back in September and benefitted from programme activities across our values, craft, fun and friendship. For Halloween in October, we joined up with another local Guide unit and headed to Lorne Estate for a weekend of Halloween fun. In December the girls had the opportunity to head to Newtownards cinema with other units from our area. For our Christmas outing we heading to the SSE for a go at the new Lost City mini golf. In March we went to the RNLI station in Bangor to help launch Girlguiding Ulster new Water Safety Badge in partnership the RNLI. The highlight of the year was our annual camp, at Lorne Estate in June run by Jordan and Jenny – 15 girls and 3 Rangers had a fabulous time learning new skills, sleeping in Icelandic tents and building friendships. Annual awards and badges that were earned through the year were presented. All in all, it was an successful and eventful year that was full of fun and friendship.

There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit.

Please insert how many girls took part in the unit, what events and activities took place, what achievements e.g. badges etc that were gained. Also state that there was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit.
