The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.

There were 13 Brownies registered at this time ranging from 7 years to 10 years old. The Unit meets on a Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. They met on 30 occasions and enjoyed a range of activities including
Baking, craft, games, campfire singing, badge work, skill builders, UMAs. Visitors to the Unit to promote various charities, and to enhance activities and develop new skills.
These helped the girls to gain a better understanding of the Guiding programme as they developed new skills and grew in confidence and self- esteem.
There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and there was no personal gain or private benefit.
A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance
We confirm that all Charity Trusties of 1[st] Comber A Brownie Unit are aware that they are legally obligated to have regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance.
A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year
Bank account opened on 1st September 2021 with an opening balance of £1524.18 A total amount of £2249.15 was collected by Parental Subscription, camp monies and charity collections and £3665.00 was spent on operational costs of the Unit leaving a balance of £108.33 The Unit has no assets.
Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit
