A summary of the Charity's main activities to further its purposes for the public
benefit and the main achievements in the year:
12th Bangor Guides was closed pre-covid, due to a shortage of leaders. It
held no meetings and did not exist again until it was re4)pened on 20
April 2023 as a new unit with different leaders. At that polnt, all members
were new to Guides, even if some of them had previously been in
Brownies or Rainbows.
We stsrted off with no requirement for commitment, so that girls could
have a 'tsster' for 2 months. St Gall's Church kindly welcomed us, as we
had no income from the Guides themselves for this short period.
The new Guides leamed skills such as campfire building, teamwork,
cooking over an open fire and first aid. These are life skills that will help
to develop the Guides as useful citizens for the future.
Six members entered the North Down County Challenge (EJC) Unit at the
beginning of June after only 6 meetings. The aim was to practise their
new skills, work as a team and have fun. We were delighted that such a
new group actually won the competition!
This unit is now a fully functioning one again and looks forward to the
next year.
We as Trustses have had regard to the Commission's Public Benefit
requirement ststutory guidance

A review of the Charity's financial position at the end of the year
See attached Statement of Finances for 12th Bangor Guides. We have only
existed as a unit since 20 Apr 2023 and had our last meeting on 22 June before
summer break. We were given a donation from North Down County towards
stsrting this new uni( but as we had no bank account within this financial
year. the funds were deposited with 1st Craigavad Guides (same leaders), until
they fully close. The remaining funds will then be moved to 12th Bangor
Guides.
Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the
year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit
