A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
Movilla Abbey Rainbows A is a group of girls aged 4 to 7 who meet during term time on Monday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm in Movilla Abbey Church. During the year January 2023 and December 2023 there were around 18 Rainbows in regular attendance. During the year the Rainbows took part in usual unit activities such as games, badge work and craft. The girls were learning about the Rainbow promise badge which encourages the girls to be kind and helpful. New Rainbows earned their promise badge. Rainbows loved having a visit from Belfast Playbus and having a trip to Bangor Library. They earned their Storyteller Badge and Communication Stage 1 badge in the first section of the year and then earned their Healthy Mind and First Aid Stage 1 badge towards the end of the year. These badges included learning Makaton and Mindfulness and learning how to put bandages on and do simple first aid to help people. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable year for all girls and leaders.
