This template is to provide guidance to units who are completing a Trustee Annual Report for the NI Charity Commission.  If you do not wish to use this form please ensure that the headings in this guidance are followed when completing a Trustee Annual Report. 

## **All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.** 

**The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.**

## **A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year** 

2[nd] Donaghadee Rainbow Unit is a group of girls aged (4 – 7) years old who meet 31 weeks of the year on a Thursday 5 – 6pm.  During the year there were 12 rising to 14 Rainbows in regular attendance.  During the year the Rainbows took part in the usual unit activities of games; crafts; songs; badgework; outings; parties and fundays. 

Events:You Can Engineer it at SERC; Ten Pin Bowling at Dundonald; Halloween Party; Maud’s Ice Cream; Lorne Christmas Adventure; The Christmas Adventure; Visit from Pet Rabbit; Easter Egg Hunt at Lorne; Coronation Party Activities: Craft  Birdie Builders; Smores; Promise Activities; St Patrick’s day craft; Make Rabbit,  Candle Ceremony; Easter Cards; Happy sun Catchers, McDonalds Badges: Skill Builders, Unit Meeting Activities, Interest Badges – Animal  Lovers, Nature, Recycling, Agility, Ulster Centenary Badge , Theme awards, 2 x Bronze Badges and Certificates Items bought – McDonalds treats, Flag and Royal Magazines, Marbles, Pin Ear on Elf, Christmas badges, presents and baubles; Hobbie Craft crafts for Coronation Party; Heart Chocolates, dry wipes, Tea/Coffee cake and biscuits, Certificates, St Patricks headbands, stationary and crafts There is no harm flowing from the Charities purpose and there is no private benefit. 

## **A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance** 

All trustees of 2[nd] Donaghadee Rainbow Unit are aware of the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement. 




## **A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year** 

The group has no assets. There is a bank balance of £1237.03     at end Sept 2023 

**Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit** 

None
