Movilla Abbey Rangers is a group of girls and young women aged 14-18yrs who meet fortnightly on a Monday night from 7.30-9pm in the halls in Newtownards from September to June. There were 12 Rangers attending regularly with a minimum of 2 volunteers. The Rangers took part in a range of Girlguiding activities and badges with 2 girls completing their Gold award and 1 Ranger working on the Queens Guide Award. 5 completed bronze and 5 completed Silver Awards and they attended the Guides sleepover at Halloween and had a ranger only residential in April at Lorne Outdoor Activity Centre. All of the Rangers attended the AJ25 international summer jamboree in Scotland camping and trying new activities for 7 days. They are preparing to attend another international jamboree next summer. 5 Rangers have completed the Commonwealth Award and were presented by the County Commissioner.

They completed a number of local community activities such as litter picking and helping collect items donated to 4 local charities along with raising money for the local hospital ICU in memory of one of our young leaders.

The group was led by volunteer leaders and there was no harm flowing from Movilla Abbey Ranger programme and activities and there were no private benefit

Movilla Abbey Rangers shared a sleepover in October and the international jamboree trip in the summer with Movilla Abbey Guides. The Ranger only residential event weas held in April at Lorne Outdoor Activity Centre for 10 Rangers.

The Girlguiding UK membership and insurance fees for Rangers were paid of £741 in February 2025.

The Group had a surplus of £560 for the year with the bank account containing £1346 to be used to continue forward into 2025-2026 and to continue to meet fortnightly and support the girls to attain their Girtguiding awards and badges.

The group has no assets.

Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit.
