## **A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year** 

There were 8 Rangers aged 14-18years with full membership during the year meeting fortnightly from Sept until June. The group met every 2 weeks at their hall taking part in Girlguiding Programme theme awards, skills builders and completing badges. We had 3 girls complete their silver award and 5 girls complete their bronze award last year. 

There were 2 local residential opportunities during the year for the Rangers to attend. A December trip with the Movilla Abbey Guides and an outdoor residential in April part funded by King George VI funds in Lorne Estate. Four of the Rangers attended the Netherlands International trip in July 2023 to stay at Rotterdam and Amstelveen Scout Centres. 

The Rangers helped with the successful fundraising for the international trip including the Big Breakfast. 4 of the Rangers are volunteering to help with younger sections of Girlguiding and work on their leadership skills along with 6 of them working on Duke of Edinburgh and Commonwealth Awards.

The Trustees are aware of the Commissions public benefit requirements statutory guidance. 

## **A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year** 

Movilla Abbey Rangers had a surplus this year of £2986.89 due to successful fundraising along with the Movilla Abbey Guides. They also received King George VI funding and successfully held an outdoor activity residential in April. Membership fees and insurance to Girlguiding were paid for Rangers from this account, all other weekly programme activities are run jointly with Movilla Abbey Guides. 

There is sufficient funds of £3141.98 to begin guiding in September 2022 for another year for Movilla Abbey Rangers.
