unaudited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 March 2023.
The financial statements a￿ prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 "The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
Statemer7t of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021.
The Directors, Report contains the infomiation required to be provided in the Directors, Annual Report under the
statement of Recommended Pr2clice ISORP) guidelines. The directors of the company are also charity trustees for
the purpose of charity law and under the company's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the directors of Casllederg Childcare Services Limited present a summary of its purpose. governance.
activities. achievements and finances for the financial financial year 31 March 2023.
The company is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a form which complies with the
requirements ol the Companies Act 2006 and. although not obliged to comply with the Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102, the organisation has implemented its
recommendations where relevant in these financial statements.

Mission Statement
Castlederg Childcare se￿ices objects as per its governing document are lo enhance the development and education
of children aged eleven weeks lo eleven years by encouraging parentslguardians to understand and provide for the
needs of their children by'.-

in the activities of the company, ensuring opportunities for all children, regardless of religion. culture. race or mean5.
Encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their families and promoting public interest in and
recognition of such needs of children and their families in the local area.

Supporting local community events
During the review period the centre resumed its pre COVID registration occupancy as guided by the Western Health
& Social Care Trust (Registering Aulhorityl, as detailed below..

As at 31 st March 2023 a total of 64 families were regISte￿d with the centre, representing 72 children.
During the year Castlederg Childcare Services worked in partnership with Churchtown Community Association to
deliver 2 community events namely, the 'Halloween Hoolie" and "Spring Event"
These events were well received
within the community attracting approximately 400 attendees at each event.
Staff training and the delivery of a quality childcare service is the central ethos, and staff have continued their
professional development in the review period by completing training in the following areas.

Autism Awareness
Dyslexia Awareness
Managing Challenging Behaviour
Outdoor Play
Mandatory Training - Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid & Food Safely
Furthermore, staff will complete "Reggio Inspired. training in January 2024 and parenting 5UPPOrt training scheduled
for the first quarter of 2024.
Financial Results
At the end of the financial year the company has assets of £79.587 {2022 £60.6271 and liabilities of £18,718 (2022
£19,866). The nel assets of the company have increased by £20,110.
Future Development
The trustees of Casllederg Childcare Se)vices have planned a number of initiatives for the incoming period April 2023
March 2024, such as".
Childrens Creative Mindfulness Sessions
Reggio Training
The centre continues to deliver DiversitylRespecling Differences Workshops & the "Eager & Able to Learn.
Programme (funded by.. The Pathway Fund - Dept of Education). These programmes aim lo improve the potential
outcomes for local children and their parents. This training will focus on low income families providing free training
and resources and aims lo achieve the following targets".
Improve opportunities for socially disadvantaged children
Provide improved Early Years support for 20 children with additional needs
Increase access to services in a rural area with low provision
Promote a culture of Respect for Differences

STATEMENT OF DIRECTORS. RESPONSIBILITIES
for the financial year ended 31 March 2023
The directors are responsible for preparing the financial Statements in accordance with applicable law and
regulations.
Company law requires the directors lo prepare finanaal statements for each financial year. Under that law the
directors have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable lawl including FRS 102 "The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" Section 1A (Small Enlitiesl. Under company law the
directors must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the
slate of affairs of the company and of the surplus or deficit of the company for that period.
In preparing these financial statements, the d1￿ClorS are required to..
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently.,
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
state whether the financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the relevant financial reporting
framework, identify those standards. and note the effect and the reasons for any material departure from those

DIRECTORS OF CASTLEDERG CHILDCARE SERVICES LIMITED
We have examined the financial statements of the company for the financial year ended 31 March 2023, which
comprise the Slalemenl of Financial Aclivilies, the Summary Income and Expenditure Account, the Balance Sheet
and the related notes.
Respective responsibllities of directors and examiner
The company's trustees {who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company lawl are responsible
for the preparation of the financial slalements in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The
company's directors consider that an audit is not required for this financial year under Chapter 3 of Part 16 of the
Companies Act 2006 and that an independent examination is required.
It is our responsibility to..
examine the financial statements under section 65 of the Charities Act.,
follow the procedures laid down by the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under section 6519llbl of the Charities Act., and
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
We have examined your company financial statements as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 6519){b} of the Charities Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the company and a comparison of the financial statements presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the fin2Ncial statements and seeking explanations from the
directors concerning any Such mallers. The procedure5 undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'lrue and fair, view
and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

For the financial year ended 31 March 2023 the company was entitled lo exemption from audit under section 477 of

GENERAL INFORMATION
Casllederg Childcare Services Limited is a company limited by guarantee incorporated in Northern Ireland.
The registered office of the company is 48 Lurganbuoy Road, Casllederg, Co Tyrone, BT817HT which is also
the principal place of business of the company The financial statements have been presented in Pound l£}
which is also the functional currency of the company.
SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The following accounting policies have been applied con5151enlly in dealing with items which are considered
material in relation to the charity's financial statements.
Basis of preparation
The financial slalements have been prepared on the going concern basis under the historical cost convention,
modified to include certain items at fair value. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance
with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORPI Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
FRS 102" applying Section 1 A of that Standard.
As permitted by the Companies Act 2006, the company has varied the standard fomats in that act for the
Statement of Financial Activities and the Balance Sheet. Departures from the standard formats are to comply
with the requirements of the Charities SORP and are in compliance with section 4.7, 10.6 and 15.2 of that
SORP.

The financial statements of the company for the financial year ended 31 December 2017 have been prepared
on the going concern basis and in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice ISORPI
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102" applying Section 1A of that Standard.
Incoming Resources
Voluntary income or capital is included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the company is legally
entitled lo it. its financial v21ue can be quantified with reasonable certainty and the￿ is reasonable certainty of
its ultirllate receipt. Entitlement to legacies is considered established when the company has been notified of a
distribution to be made by the executors. Income received in advance of due performan￿ under a contract is
accounted for as deferred income until earned. Grants for activities are recognised as income when the
related conditions for legal entitlement have been met. All other income is accounted for on an accruals basis.
Resources Expended
All resources expended are accounted for on an accruals basis. Charitable activities include costs of services
and grants, support costs and depreciation on related assets. Costs of generating funds similarly include
fundraising activities. Non-staff costs not attributed to one category of activity are allocated or apportioned
pro-rata lo the staffing of the relevant service. Finan￿, HR. IT and administrative staff costs are directly
attributable lo individual activitiès by objective. Governance costs are those associated with constitutional and
statutory requirements.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost or at valuation. less accumulated depreciation. The charge to
depreciation is calculated lo write off the original cost or valuation of tangible fixed assets, less their estimated
residual value, over their expected useful lives as follows..

DebLor4 are recognised at the settlement amount due after any discount orfered. Prepayments are valued at
the amount prepaid net of any trade discounts due. Income recognised by the the company from govemment
agencies and other co-funders, but not yet received al year end, is included in debtors.
Cash at bank and in hand
Cash al bank and in hand comprises cash on deposit al banks requiring less than three months nolice of
withdrawal.

Taxation and deferred taxation
No current or deferred taxation arises as the company has been granted charitable exemption. Irrecoverable
valued added lax is expensed as incurred.
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all liming differences that have originated but not reversed at the
balance sheet date where transactions or events have occurred al that date that will re5uII in an obligation to
pay more tax the future, or a right to pay less tax in the future. Timing differences are temporary differences
be￿een the company's taxable income and its results as stated in the financial statements.
Deferred tax is measured on an undiscounted basis al the tax rates that are anticipated to apply in the periods
in which the timing differences are expected to reverse. based on tax rates and laws that have been enacted
or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.

£4.128 regarding rent (2022.. £3.6001. No rent is owed at the year end to Churchtown Propety Management
Limited.
