Accvunting policies
The principal aicounting poltcies are summarised below. The accountiiig poltcies have been applied
consistelitly throughout the period.
1.1 Basis of accounting
I'he financial statements have been prepared in compliance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard in
the UK and the Republic of Irelaiid, the Statemeiit of Re(oniniended Practice applicablc to chaTlteis preparing
their aciounts with the fRS applicable in the UK and Ireland (FRS 102) - (CharitiLS SORI, (FRS 102)) and tlie
Charitics Act {Northern Ireland) 2008.
1.2 Incoming resources
All inioming i'esources are included in the statement of financial activities wh￿1 the charity is entitled to Uie
income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The following spocific policies are applied
to particular cateRories of income:
Voluntary Income is received by way of grants, donations and gifts and is included in full in the staLeinent of
financial activities wheii reieivable. GTants where entitlenient is not conditional on the delivLL'y of a specific
perforniance by the charity, are revognised when the charity becomes unionditionally entitled to the grant.
Doiiated sorviies and facilities are included at the value to the charity whei'e this can be quantified. The value
of services provided by voIunteers has not been included.
Grants, including grants for the purchase of fixed a85ets, are recognied in full in the statei)ieiit of financiaI
activities in the year in which they are reieivable.
Income fi'om invesimenLs is included in the year in which it is reieivable.
1.3 Resources expended
l-xpoiiditure is reiogiiAscd on an accruaIs basis wheii a liabilÈty is incurred which cannot be fully reiovcred, and
is i'eported as part of the expenditure to which it relates.
Charitable expeiiditure comprises those costs incurreil by the charity in the delivery of its activities and
services for its beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated direitly to such activities and thosc
custs of an indiTect nature necessary to support them.
Goveriiance costs include those incurred in the governance of the charity and its a.ssels and are pritnarily
as.4L)ciatod with co11sti￿tional and statutory requirements.

1.4 TangibIe fixed assets and depreciation
'I'angible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation. Cost includes all Clists that are directly
attributable to bringing the asset into working coiiditinii for its intended use. Depreciation is provided at rates
calculated to write off the cost Iess residual value of each asset over its expecled USLful life, as follows..
