The charity carries OUE its mT*sionary and outreach ￿Ork to ad- vance the Christian faith by supporting the practical needs of the benefickaries in Africa (matnly Zambia) with whom certain missionaries are NTrorking. The missionaries are connecied lo our Church Grouping (Gospel Halls throughout the UK and furlher afield), and have the full confidence of the church elders and the trustees of MCST. Financial review Total incomc for the year Vias £71,040 compared to £77.351 in the previous year. Shipping costs were £51,543, cost of goods purchased was £18,427, paper purchases £3,200, administrativc expcnses £6,104 giving a total expenditure of £79,274 (2023:£77,443). This resulted in a deficit for the year of £8,234 (2023: deficit £91. Total ￿ndS were £51,710 (2022.. £59.944) Respollsibilitie5 in respect of the financial Statements. The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Annual Rcport and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice. Basis of Preparation The financial ststements have been prepared in accordance with the Acknounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practicc FRSI 02 (Charities SORP FRS102). The accounts are prepared on an Accruals Basis. Fund Accounting Unrestrictcd funds are availablc for use at the discretion of the ttustees in ￿rthcrance of the general objectives of the charity.
