The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Chartties.. Statement of
Recommended Practicc applicable to charities preparing, th¢ir accounts in accordance with the FinanLial R¢porting
Stand<wd appliLable in the UK and R¢publi¢ of Ireland (FRS 102) effective l January 2019) - (Cliariti¢s SORP 2019
(FRS 102)), the Financial Reportin¥ Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102). applicable Lharity
law, the Compaiuc¥ A¢t 2006 and UK GLnerally AcL'epled PraLtILe.
Charler Nl meets the definition of a piiblic benefit entity uiider FRS 102 and its operation5 and principal activities are as
disclosed in th¢ Trustees, Report.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional ciwr¢ncy of the charitable company. Monetary
amounts in th¢s¢ financial stalemenls are rounded to th¢ n¥ar¢¥t £.
Assets and liabllities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless othenvi5e stated in the relevant
accouiiting poliLy note(s).
The financial stateinenls are prepared on a going concern basis.
Going contern
The charitable company's activities, together with factors likely to affect ils future developmeiit. performance and
position, are continuously reviewed by the trustees. These include the LhariÉable company's cash flow. As a consequence.
the trustees believe that the charitable company is well placed to manage business risk8 successfully despite the current
uii¢¢rlain ccoiiomic outlook. The chariiable cornpany meets its day to day working capiial requiitments through its cash
re50ufLes aiid bankiiig, fatyilities. Thc tnistees are confident Ihal the cliarilable company will have adequate resources to
continue ils normal biibiiiLss for tlie for¢secabl¢ future, and aLLordin¥ly conlinu¢s to adopt the going coiicern basis in
prepariiig the annual reporl and financial statements.
Fund accounting
The charity has various types of fund for which it is responsible and which require specific disclosures. A definition of
the various types of funds 18 as follows:
General funds
General fund5 are unrestricted fiinds whiLh are avaftlable for use at the discretion of the trn5tees in furtherance of
the general objectives of the charity and which have not b¢en designated for oth¢r purposes.
Designated funds
Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that hav¢ becn set aside by the trustees for particular purpoyes.
Restricted funds
Restricted fimds arc fund5 which are to be us¢d in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors or
which have been raised by the charity for particular purposes.
The costs of raising and administering sueh fiinds are charged against the specific fun

Unrestricted funds are amounts which are expendable at the discretion of the trustees in ￿rtherallce of Ihc aims of

Incoming resources

All expenditure is Accounted for oil an accruals basis once there is a legal or constructive obligation to n]ake a payment

Chfirilable activitie5
Charilable ¢xpeiiditure uomprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its octivities and services
for 115 beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activitie5 and those costs of an
indirect nalurc necessary lo supply them. Support costs are those costs incurred in support of direct expenditure
on the objecls of the charity and include project manageinent. Gov¢rnanc¢ costs are those inLurred in connection
with administratioii of Ihc charity and compliaiice with coiislitutional and statutory requtr¢ments.
The analysis of these costs ts included in notes 5 7.
ITre¢overable VAT is charged as a cost against tlie activity for which the expellditur¢ was incurred or capitalised
as part of the ¢o$l ot'th¢ related asset as appropriate.
Employee benefits
When employees h&ve rendered service to the Lharity, short-temi employee benefits to which the employees are entitled
are recognis¢d at the undlscounted arnount expected to be paid in cxchangye for that service.
Retirement benefits
The company contributes to the NEST pension scheme with contributions charged to the SOFA as th¢y become payable
in accordance with the rules of the scheme.
Tangible Fixed Assets
The cost of taiigible assets is iheir purchase cost, together with any incidental ¢osL% of acquisition. Deprecialion is
calculalLd so as to write off tlie cost of tangible fixcd assets, Icss their estimated residual values, on a straight-line basis

The charltable company has benefitted from ihe contribution of unpaid general volunteers. Their contribution is not
accounted for due to the lack of a reliable basis of measurement.
The Diamond Hub
From 30 June 2017 the Diamond Project has been party to a 20-year lease on a community hub building Situated at 32
Constance Street, provided by Noi1hern Ireland Housing Executive at a peppercorn rent.

cliarity w(>uld pay ihe open market for 011 alternative equivalcnt facility and therefore the value of the doiiuted facilities.
