achievements and finances for the financial year 31 August 2023.
Mission, Objectives and Strategy
Mission Statèmènt
To provide a quality communitylamaleur boxing club based in the ArmaghlDown area that caters for the needs of all its
participants so that they can achieve their potential.
Compliance with Public Benefit
The Charity Trustees have had r8gard to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's statutory public benefit guidance
to ensure that activilies entered into during the year have helped to achi8V8 the charity's aims and objectives as well as
providing public benefit.
Objectives
The aims and objectives of the charity are..
To provide a safe, friendly, positive, social and community boxing environment for all participants,.
To offer coaching and competitive opportunities in boxing.,
To promote the club within the local community and boxing.,
To manage the premises of Sacred Heart boxing club.,
To ensure a duty of care to all members of the club-,
To provide all its services in a way that is fair to everyone.,
Encourage the development of our coaches and volunteer staff through the provision of courses and relevant training.,
Develop and maintain links with other clubs and competitions throughoul the region-,
To remain in touch with the needs of its members and potential members, and place these needs at th8 forefront of any
developments within the club.,
To increase the club's membership through PR, marketing and innovative open sessions.,
To hold a central database of all members, coaches and off cials within the club..
To continually seek applicable funding and finance so that the aims and objectives of the Sacred Heart Boxing Club
can be fulfilled.

Governance
The principal document regarding governance of the charity is th8 Gonstitution. The charity is an unincorporatgd
organisation.
Revlew of Actlvlti&s, Achievements and Performance
The club runs weekly classes to teach and coach boxing to children and young people. The club competes in various
competitions. During the year the club was very successful with six Amiagh Down Champions, four Louth champions,
an Ulster Senior champion and two Junior Ulster champions. The trustees were impressed with the achievements of
the club during the financial year.
Financial Review
The results for the financial year are set out on page 7. and reflect the activities undertaken by the charity in 2023. The
charity had incom6 of £10,583 and expenditure of £9,785 r8sulting in a surplus of £798. The charity had unrestrict8d
reseNes of £2,634 at 31 August 2023.
At the end of the financial year the charity has assets of £2,63412022 £1,836) and liabilities of £0.00 (2022 £0.00).
The net assets of the charity have increased by £798.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE SACRED HEART BOXING CLUB
We have examined the financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 August 2023, which comprise
the Financial Statements.
This report is made solely lo the charity's members, as a body, in accordance with Ihe Charities Act (Northern Ireland)
2008. Ourwork has been undertaken so that w8 might compile the financial statements that we have been engaged to
compile, report to the Board of Trustees that we have done so, and state those matters thatwe have agreed to state to
them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume
responsibility lo anyone other than the charity and the charity's members, as a body, for our work, or for this report.
Respective responsibilitiès of truste8s and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements
of the Charities Act {Northem Ireland) 2008. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is nol required for this financial
year under the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and that an independent examination is required.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the financial slatoments under section 65 of the Charities Act.,
follow th8 procedures laid down by the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under section 6519llb) of the Charities Act., and
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examlner's report
We have examined your charity financial statements as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 6519llbl of the Charities Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by
the charity and a comparison of the financial stat8ments presented with those records. It also includes consideration of
any unusual items or disclosures in the financial statements and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any
such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the report is limited to
those matters set out in the ststement below.
In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention which gives us cause to believe that in. any
material respect..

the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act
there is further infomiation needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
Independent examlner's statement
We have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connectiori with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in this report in order to enable a prDper understanding of the financial statements to be reached.
